Awesome Locking Document Protection
Love our Turtle 2 Drawer File Cabinet! It DOES lock, contrary to other reviews. You just have to read the instructions inside of cabinet next to the locking mechanism to set it to a Lock Position or Unlock Position. Took less than two minutes to understand how it works.

Very heavy, durable, & spacious. The key locking mechanism works well. Would only recommend if you prefer a key over a keypad locking mechanism. Love the fire safe quality of it.

this fireproof safe does not lock
I would not recommend purchasing this fire resistant file cabinet. It does not lock. I have contacted the company numerous times through Amazon and I even tried to contact someone externally. I have written repeatedly. This is useless to me if it does not lock because I planned on putting Important documents in there and I wanted to be locked. It appears as though the locking mechanism is too short to actually lock the cabinet. To spend this amount of money on a file cabinet that will not lock is ridiculous. They need to do a better job on quality control.. if I could give less than one star and give a half of a star, I would because of the lack of effort and trying to resolve this issue. I am still trying to either send it back or to have them have someone come out here and repair it. I ordered this in September. It did not get here until mid October. I immediately contacted the company through Amazon and this is still not resolved.
