I needed to send HDMI from My Mac Mini M1 to a LG Ultrafine Monitor that has only USB-C inputs. This special unidirectional HDMI to USB-C powered by a USB-A worked fantastic !!!!! Now I can Hold off upgrading my Mac Mini-M! for a few years and still use two $K monitors

Edit: the replacement cable arrived and it does not have the screen flicker issue. I also got a female-female usb c adapter that I now connect this cable to and then the original cable to the Air 2. It’s perfect and is cheaper than buying pricey and clunky adapters. I now have this cable to connect to any hdmi device I want, pc, PlayStation etc I bought this specifically to connect any hdmi device to my Xreal Air 2 glasses. It works! Except the video cuts out a few seconds in to using. And stays out for a second or two. I have ordered a replacement to see if that is the issue, if this cable is truly faulty. I have tried to wiggle the cable at the usb-c end to see if it makes the video come back but it’s too inconsistent to say it’s not the cable being faulty. I have also now ordered a usb c female-female coupler to compliment this cable. The cable is good quality build as it appears. However the usb c end is too stiff and at a straight angle that it makes wearing it on the glasses uncomfortable. I will connect this cable to the original cable that came with the glasses. I do want to say I have tested this cable with my steam deck via a hub, my PC and my PS4. The video cut out happens with all devices and almost like clock work. Hopefully I will remember to come back and update this after I receive my replacement.

I've been waiting for something like this for a while now. I have a AOC Portable LCD and it's limited to use with a laptop with a powered USB-C output. I could not use it with any device with HDMI to USB-C because that's actually reverse direction and the monitor side has to a HDMI and not the other way around. This cable solves the issue by taking the HDMI output and change it to USB-C data and there's the extra USB connector that plugs into the same device or a power adaptor that sends power to that the AOC Portable LCD can turn on. Only concern I have is the HDMI connector gets very hot, so I may need to attach a small heat sink to dissipate some heat to prolong the device's MTBF.

I recommend this cable for Xreal AR glasses and portable monitors, BUT with caution, HDMI port and connector get HOT. The cables are well made, though is a little too stiff. The cable was used for ar glasses but also works for portable monitors and can provide power to them as well. Never experienced any issues with image quality, however, the HDMI connector gets hot, I mean REALLY hot, it’s definitely a worry regarding its lifetime and the port’s lifetime as well, but overall it’s a good cable for what I need it for.

Doesn't work. I know it's the cable, because my other HDMI to USB-C cable works for my dual monitors, but this one doesn't. Can't say I'm not surprised. This is the third manufacturer that I've tried that doesn't work as advertised.

This cable is perfect if you want to send HDMI signal to your AR glasses, and power them at same time. This is HDMI signal and USB-A power to USB-C Dislpay port to for example AR glasses. Does not work th other way. USB-A power should comw form a different source than the HDMI.

this worked great on an Asus MB166C portable monitor. When I first plugged it in a message came up that the monitor was out of range. Asus website said you have to install Monitor Drivers first before using. After much confusion I went on forums and found that if computer shows out of range then reboot and it will fix it. That worked and it worked great after that.

Funciona perfecto en xreal air 2 pro y xreal one pro. El largo del cable es decente.

I'm using this to connect an Xbox Series X to the XReal Air 2 glasses and whilst the video quality is great there is no audio. Even with this draw back i'm still very happy.

Cable works as described! Connecting laptop HDMI to portable monitor which requires USB-C.

I got this to use my Rokid Air AR glasses with my ROG Ally. I used an Anker usb c dongle to connect the glasses to the Ally and I am able to use them without any issues while being able to charge the battery of the Ally.

Mi monitor Steren es HDMI mini c descompuso la entrada así que lo tuve casi 4 meses en desuso asta que me enteré que podía usarlo con tipo c mi xbox series x se conecta al HDMI y la fuente de poder y el monitor con el cable tipo c la resolución es una chulada mi monitor es 1444p 60 fps y c mira bien lo recomiendo
