At first I thought it was odd but this is the third time I've soaked my feet and it is nice to just relax in my recliner and adjust the temp as needed without having to bend down. Feels like I'm at the nail salon, but better. The pumice stone attachment doesn't work well so I removed it and just use my handheld one. It does get very hot though, so I would not let a child use this unattended. But I guess you could just take the remote away and leave it on the lowest or no heat setting.
