Dye is always needed
PREMIUM quality. This is the only way I buy AC oil. If you aren't using dye in your system you are gambling with a leak. This dye reacts very well especially with a 365nm black light to check for leaks. Useful with many ac systems its easy to use and a fair price. You can trace many leaks with this dye. Compatible with many systems.

Came in handy almost immediately after my repair was complete
Bought this when replacing my evaporator core, and expansion valve and I’m very happy with it. True story but right after doing my repair I replaced the drier accumulator but was rushing a bit. A/C worked great for like 3 days then started blowing hot again. I thought I replaced the wrong parts and was going to have to buy a compressor now, but used my black light flashlight and found out I overtightened the drier accumulator plastic screw and it was all leaking out of there. It was a super easy fix and I just replaced the drier accumulator and plastic screw again and recharged it and the A/C been working cool for a month now. The UV dye in the system made it easy to see where I made my mistake because if I didn’t use this product right before, then I most likely would’ve bought a compressor and started scratching my head on why my A/C wasn’t working
