The cards are working great running twenty-four 4 TB drives each, broken up into two RAID 10 arrays on each card, with excellent throughput and no issues. With our use of the Thunderbolt chassis, the Thunderbolt-aware driver was a big reason we settled on this card.After several weeks of stability issues with HighPoint RocketRAID 4522 cards, these cards slid into place without so much as a hiccup, which was a refreshing change. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Update: We ended up back with this solution *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2012* I have an update. We had a technical emergency and ended up getting another one of these and it worked correctly. When we've had issues with it, ATTO has a new tech support guy who has been nothing short of awesome - to the point of team viewing in on systems to make sure all our other ATTO products (NT12, NT11, Thunderlink) work correctly. I'm very happy about this because we do have so many ATTO products that this has healed the black eye we had before. Thanks ATTO!----I bought this one off Amazon and spent a month trying to get it to work (we've had several RAID cards over time so it wasn't a new experience). Unfortunately the one I purchased was a dud that would not work consistently. We replaced hard drives, cables, software, computer, and virtually everything that we could think of to get it to work right. Eventually we tried to return it, but the seller on Amazon said we'd need an RMS# from the manufacturer (ATTO). ATTO decided that we hadn't done enough to prove that it was broken and began ignoring my emails. We had to force a dispute with Amazon (which we won) and the seller did refund us after returning it.It was a bit frustrating as we wanted to stay in the ATTO family (one of our systems has an R380, so a consistent software interface would have been a bonus). We got an Areca 1882x instead which has worked great.Others have had great success with the ATTO, but our experience with the R680 was a real disappointment. I give two stars because at first everyone tried to help and ATTO does have customer support.
