True output RMS or route mean square would be a much lower but truly accurate rating. It is also true that a 100 watt amp is not twice as loud as a 50 watt one, it just doesnt work that way. There is a formula to work this out, you will need a calculator. Safe to say though that this is pretty loud and has decent reviews in the hi-fi press. There is no substitute for seperate amp and good speakers with decent interconnects but then you cant drag your hi-fi out in the garden or your friends flat for a party. If you want more oomph, grab the Subwoofer too! **Q: I've an original standard echo (1st ed?). its now 3 years old. could i replace it with this echo studio? plus echo sub (subwoofer) ?** A: this works the same as a first addition echo, but the sound is much better (the speakers monitor themselves, and will set themselves to their surroundings to give you the best possible sound). 3d isn't available on all music and is still relatively new (I have limited knowledge of this). you will have to set it up on your alexa app. I have amazon music HD, which works well with the echo studio. I haven't heard an echo studio with a subwoofer, but on its own, it has quite a bit of bass. out of all of the cylindrical echos and echo show 8 (I have not heard an echo show or echo show 5), this affords the best sound. I hope this helps. **Q: When connected to my 4K fire stick, Is they any lag with the audio ?** A: I was having wierd audio Lag issues, I eventually fixed it by switching from Home cinema volume control, to TV Volume control. Played a show, it was synced, I then switched back to home cinema and it remained in sync. **Q: Views seem to differ if the Studio can be paired with dots/ Echo's. Can a studio be paired with dots and or echo's?** A: Pairing odd equipment = No...But... You can’t pair a studio to a dot or an echo as a stereo pair. You can create a ‘speaker group’ (kitchen,Livingroom etc.) where the sound will play through all the speakers at the same time. If you want a stereo pair (stereo L & R channels) then you need to ‘pair’ like for like echos (2xdot) or (2xecho).
