excellent cd with an extra disc. well worth the high price.Boris rules and Wata is as good as a guitar virtuoso gets.BORIS truly rocks very very heavy!! fav song onNoise is Heavy RAin. vanilla a close second.BORIS has never sounded better.

10年以上前に「heavy rocks（オレンジ）」でドはまりして以降、個人的に一番好きなバンドのメジャー第二作ですが、今作もとても良いです。内容はいろんな所で「このバンドの集大成的な一枚」という評価をされていますが、確かにそんな感じもしますね。作品ごとに新機軸を打ち出してカラーを変えてきた過去作と比べると、やや趣を異にします。ヴィジュアル系やアニソン方面へ振り切った異色作「NEW ALBUM」の流れをくむ一曲目から始まって、大文字BORISの代名詞ともいうべきヘヴィロック調の曲、栗原ミチオ氏とコラボした「RAINBOW」から顕著になったある種日本的な情緒溢れる歌もの、もはやお馴染みのWataのボーカル曲、かつてヴァイナルでリリースされたシングルを彷彿とさせるどこかチープなポップソング、小文字borisの王道ともいえる要素をすべて盛り込んだ長尺曲、出自を伺わせるハードコアナンバーでは終盤に全てを押しつぶすヘヴィドローンが立ち現れ、最後は夢心地のような幻想的なインストの小品で締められる。それら全ての要素にとってつけた感じはなく、彼らの20年にわたるサウンドの模索の中で裏打ちされたものだと感じられます。ただし、圧倒的な振れ幅を誇るに至った彼らの音楽性から、万遍なく色んな要素を掻い摘んでいった様な今回の作風の場合、アルバムたった一枚分という器（おまけCDついてますけど）は流石に小さすぎるのでは？という印象を受けました。更に欲を言えば作品中盤にまったりした曲が続く構成や、近年どんどんメロウになっていくTakeshiのボーカリゼイションなど、もう少し激しさが有ってもいいんじゃないかな……とも思いました。という事で大好きな作品ですが星4つ。あと、音質は聴く人の好みこそあれど彼らの作品史上最高だと思います（特にドラム）。
