The pros: 1. Comes with a dispenser. It's a nice one and needed, as the tape rolls are a little wider with a different core size. 2. Especially opaque. As many of us use this tape to cover old labels/barcodes on used boxes, this tape covers them pretty well with one layer, quite well with two. Way better than other tan tapes, which often take three layers. 3. Very good adhesion. Sticky. 4. Dispenses easily. Pulls off the roll with no drama. 5. Starts easily. Might be its thickness that helps, but it starts well. Easy to find and lift the free end when it's stuck to the roll. 6. Thick and strong. The one con: 1. Slight odor / smell upon opening package. Did dissipate after the package has been open a while. Overall impression: Excellent product. Will purchase again.

Not as sticky as I thought.
I was using on boxes to pack for a move. I thought this would be like the tape movers use that is very very sticky, but it's not. Sticks OK, but can loose grip on some materials.

Cheap tape but does what I need it to do.
Would I rely on this tape solely for shipping? No. The scotch heavy duty tape that you can find at Costco or other office supply stores is superior in terms of thickness and adhesion. However, when you use that expensive tape the cost adds up a lot. So what I like to do is I like to tape the seams on each end of the box with the heavy duty scotch packing tape, and then go around the edges and sides of my boxes many times with this tape. This ultimately saves money in the long run because it prevents me from wasting the more expensive tape. This one is nice but it should not be solely used.
