Love this automatic feeder. Super easy to program and reliable. The bowl is stainless steel and easily removable for cleaning. Its not loud either, which is good because I startle easily! I appreciated that the portions are highly customizable as well. Love not waking up early for on time feedings.

**addition to this review. I recently had an issue with an error saying the feeder was blocked but it wasnt. After taling it apart and seeing there was nothing blocking it i reached out to their customer support through their website. About 12 hours later i recieved an email with detailed instructions on an update they added to my app and instructions to update app, remove batteries, unplug the unit, then add batteries back and plug it in again. It worked!! After a little over a week of trying to figure it out myself and being convinced it had crapped out after almost a year it's back on track. They were quick to respond and they so far have the issue fixed and I have every confidence they will help out quickly again should the need arise. Full confidence in their customer support and their product. This thing has worked well for almost a year until this hiccup and now we're back on track. So far I have only had it set up for about 30 minutes. Yesterday when it arrived I pulled it from the box and started set up when I realized I needed C batteries and a micro SD card, something I overlooked when I ordered it. No big deal, I went back on Amazon and ordered both those things and got them this morning. Meanwhile, I taught myself how it worked, got it hooked up to wifi, & washed the top portion where food is stored and the bowl. Let it dry overnight. Then when I got up this morning set it up without issue. Not sure why people say it's so hard to set up. But I'm also used to hooking up security cameras, fire sticks, and water leak detection units to my wifi, so maybe I just understand the steps better since I've done it quite a lot. Either way, it's pretty easy, just have some patience with the steps. My only issue really came with the fact that it locks itself like after one minute so when I was trying to get my password in it locked itself, but it's super easy to unlock anyways. I'm not sure if it would have made any difference if it was locked during this process, but the instructions said to unlock it so I made sure it was unlocked during this whole process. I tested it this morning and because I had the other version of this feeder that doesn't have the camera or use the wifi, my kitty Butters, came in to eat a snack as soon as he heard it hit the metal bowl. Added bonus is that it uses a metal bowl instead of plastic. Metal is much better for our fur babies to eat and drink out of. This one will be nice because it holds more than my old one, I can feed him snacks from work, and I can make sure and keep up with his eating habits. I also have it scheduled for his regular feedings twice daily, automatically, which was also easy to set up on the app. The app downloaded without issue. Set up was a piece if cake. All in all, so far, so good. If anything changes I'll update the review.

Great and easy to use, program the feeder. Only thing is the voice box it uses it not great. Does not sound like your own voice and isnt great quality, a lot of static when it activates. Now that doesn't bother my dog cuz he just associates the noise its making while talking as his food being filled. But you can change the amount of food it gives and the times up to 6 times a day. I have my dog fed 5 times a day, however it does take some time figuring out how much the feeder actually gives. You can program 1-50 portions for feeding and the portions are pretty small, like a few kibble each. So since my dog is a husky about 70lbs I feed him 5 times a day at 5 portions each feeding and that will give him the same amount as if I fed him twice a day about 2 cups each. To give you an idea on how the portions work! So if you wanted to auto feed twice a day I would look into maybe 20 or so portions for each meal! Just experiment and put it at different settings. The food does need to be refilled every couple days as the tank does not hold as much (it would work a lot better for smaller dogs with smaller food). But it works just fine for what I need while im working!

We feed our cat dry food in the AM, and wanted an auto-feeder so she wouldn’t associate us with breakfast and wake us up with meowing. We didn’t need wifi, cameras, or anything else that could break or malfunction or complicate things - just a feeder where we could set the time and the portion size, so this fit the bill. Pros: • It was easy to set up the clock and set schedules and portion sizes while following along with the manual. • I also like that pretty much every piece that touches the food can be washed including the container and the silo that pushes the food out. You have to wipe out the chute manually since it’s attached to the electronic part which is no big deal. • It runs without the batteries in, but I like the battery option for going away just in case the power ever went out when we weren’t home. • I unplugged it once to add a longer power cord and thought I would have to reset the whole program, but after about 20-30 seconds it automatically maintained what I had already set, which is nice. • Our cat isn’t a food fiend so hasn’t tried to break into it, but the twist lock on the top seems like it would prevent that pretty well. • One portion is about 1/8 cup of our kibble. The small 3L size holds a surprising amount of food and using the smallest portion size 2x per day, should last at least a month’s worth or more. • We’re transitioning our cat from the dry food she had at the shelter to one that’s a bit more high quality and using this has made it a breeze to transition slowly over the month - I simply added her old food at the bottom, a mix of the two in the middle, and the new food on top, so each day a little bit more of the new food gets mixed in. Cons: • It’s a little rough to take the container off the base, and twist the silo part off as well - I split a nail in the process! Someone with mobility issues or neuropathy would likely have a tough time. • Wish the cord was a little longer. It’s a bit under 5ft and I needed 6 to secure it along the wall and make it look nice where I wanted to place it, so I had to buy a longer one. It’s also a USB-C to USB-A cable which makes it bulkier where I need to plug it in. • Wish it had a “skip” or “hold” option. While learning our cat’s habits I sometimes manually dispensed a portion but would forget that the timed one was still coming, so she’d get extra. Misc/Overall: Didn’t use or need the recording feature, since our goal was to not have her associate us with food, so can’t speak to that. I bought a pack of desiccant packets from another brand which I’ll plan on swapping out once per month. I’d also recommend manually dispensing a portion or two the first time you fill it/whenever you refill it until the food comes out, because the first one came out empty - the food needs to make its way down the chute, and then it works fine. Overall we’ve only had this feeder for a short time but it seems to be functioning just fine.

The app is a little wonky. Sometimes it starts and restarts multiple times until you can get in. But once it's working, it is easy to set up and use. I love the function where my voice tells the cats to come get their food. And the food dispenser has worked flawlessly.

I couldn’t be more happy with a feeder than I am with this one. I found it on Amazon a few weeks ago and I knew Prime week was coming up, so I put it in my cart. It came up for a fantastic price during Prime week, so I went ahead and bought it. First of all, the setup was really simple. Put 3 D sized batteries in the bottom in case of a power outage. Anyway, pairing the feeder to the PETLIBRO app was also easy to do. I can monitor feeding times or even use the “Feed Now” function and tell the app how much food I want to drop into the dish. It’s very well constructed and quite sturdy. It can hold an entire bag of cat food, though I only used half a bag. The functionality of this product is impressive. I recommend ordering some desiccant bags from this products manufacturer as they should probably be replaced every few weeks to keep moisture out of the cat food. The unit came with 1 for initial setup. Within the app, you can even have voice communication with your cat when you’re not home at feeding time. A two way microphone, if you will. Overall, an excellent product and a fantastic price during Prime Week. I highly recommend this product especially if you’re going away for a weekend, or work long hours. ***Side note, you will be probably want to have an SD card laying around or just buy one on Amazon. If you put an SD card in it, you can record video, depending on how you’ve done your settings. Mine will automatically record 30 seconds when a scheduled feeding happens, or a manual feeding, or when the cat triggers the motion activation on the camera. One of my boys ended up on a diet, and I'm one of those people who actually works 40+ hours a week. This thing is a gift from the gods. I've set it to feed him the proper amount every six hours, and it works like a charm. Yes...the poor boy is still hungry. That's what "dieting" is when you're a cat. But he's never hungry for long, and he waddles his way up to the feeder when he hears it go off, like clockwork. Pun intended. Will it last years and years? I can't speak to longevity. But, it's not a complex device, and it has a battery backup for when (not if) the power goes out in the rural area where we live. If I were going to ding it a star (and I'm not), it would be because it uses D cell batteries. Are those still real? Am I living in the 1970's? I must be, because I bought D cell batteries just for this thing. This isn't rocket surgery or brain science...just manufacture it to use AA's, like the rest of reality. Still...not complaining. Much. It's a great feeder. It holds a good amount, and isn't bad to clean. It's pretty quiet, but the sound of the kibble dropping into the metal bowl isn't. So what. Welcome to being owned by pets.

This automatic feeder was originally purchased because we had a trip out of town for the weekend and we just got our cats from a rescue. I would highly recommend this for people with one to two cats most times cats don’t like to eat the same bowl, but my cats are pretty chill and will share or just come down at different times. Prose Assembly was pretty straightforward and easy the food I buy really works with the distribution during the lot at times they have a total of seven times a day that they can be fed and you can portion out those feedings differently for each time. I try to give my cats wet food in the morning, but allow them to eat throughout the day with four other feedings until midnight. I like the amount of food it can hold as well as the sounds you can program in. I also like that has a working digital clock and it has a freshness packet at the top so the food doesn’t get stale. I replaced my large manual feeder with this one just so I could keep the food fresh whenever they eat, I like the color I like the design. I think it’s very sleek and modern. I’m really happy with this purchase. The user manual is very informative and well written. Because of the material it’s made out of it stays pretty clean. My cats are a little messy and like to pull the food out of the bowl so there’s lots of little bits around, but that’s just my cats. Cons The only con I would have to say is there should be a sensor that sounds some sort of alarm when it’s run out of food. The portion controls are not expounded upon in the user manual. I wasn’t sure what zero one was versus 10 was the bowl is not large enough to have a lot of portions, overflowing it And it seems the food comes out in seconds so if you put it on one second it will drop food for one second if you put it on, it will be the equivalent of counting to 10 and allowing the food to fall into the bowl. I suggest this for one to two cats only because if your cats are like mine, they will share, but I’m not sure what you would do. If you had more than two cats would they be intelligent enough to one eat at 12 and another one eat at 1 o’clock, I don’t know Especially if you have different dietary needs for each of your cats. I would be sure to make sure this is a fit or maybe they have a different version of this automatic feeder where the bowl is maybe oblong and will allow two cats to eat at a trough. I don’t know. Lastly, I do wish the Cord was a little bit longer. It does have a slot for batteries, but I don’t want to forget to change them so I keep mine plugged in and luckily there is a plug in my pantry. Overall, would purchase again 10 out of 10 and might make a really good gift for the cat person in your life.

The machine is great, but night vision doesn’t work

It is a great pet feeder. You can either plug it in or use batteries. The light disturbed me at night but if you use the batteries and unplug the pet feeder there is no more light! The design is really pretty and discrete. I have not tried to put it in the dishwasher yet but it's fairly easy to clean. Love it!

I got this for my cat so that he can get fed even when I am in the office. The sound of the kibbles hitting the metal bowl alone is sufficient to get them running to the bowl even for the first time. Didn’t need to use the voice recording at all. Did take a while to figure out the setup but once the timings are set, it’s pretty fuss free until you need to top up the food.
