I’ll give you my best advice as someone who’s love duvets but also love not breaking bank. First when you get a duvet get a size bigger than you want. If you really want the fluffy effect have your cover a size up, and the duvet insert a size bigger than your cover. For example my beds a full. I’ll get a Queen duvet cover and a king insert. If you already have too big of a bed then get two (a cheap insert and good insert together honestly does the deal). Now once you get it, throw it in the dryer or if you live in nice weather try to hang it outside. That video I made was just a few hours of having it. So it hasn’t made its 24hrs yet (recommended time for it to sit out) but trust me the dryer does so much more than when you let it sit out. I hope this helps someone in the future or someone that’s not happy with theirs. Maybe my advice can help. If you already bought a size that fits your bed then get a cheap one and layer in with this one and it’ll also be very fluffy or if you got that cash buy another one of these and it’ll definitely be extra fluffy.(Also the noise people are talking about. It comes with how the fabrics made. It’s not a bad fabric, it’s usually really good at locking in your body heat. But it does make the slightest noise but isn’t as loud as others say. Especially if properly fluffed out. I got the queen winter weight and it’s the fluffiest thickest down comforter I’ve ever owned. Once it fluffs up it IS poofy like the photos depict, I think some people who bought the all season weight expected it to look puffier but of course they got a lower fill on purpose. It’s heavy like a weight blanket, it feels really good like sleeping in a cocoon. It does crinkle, the fabric is not cotton it’s some blend that’s thicker material, I think I have down pillows from this brand too that are made of the same stuff. It keeps the feathers in, and over time the crinkle reduced on my pillows, so I’m sure it’ll reduce on the comforter too. It is a noticeable crinkle so if that sorta thing bothers you I probably would choose a different brand. So far I’m loving this comforter, it’s very full and fluffy and warm. Good price given how full it is, I kinda wish the material was cotton but it is durable and I can say my down pillows have held up well the past few years. I have not tried washing the comforter or pillows, other down comforters that I got from bed bath and beyond could be machine washed just fine, but I can’t tell you about this brand because I haven’t tried washing it. So far so good, I do love this comforterUpdate: I have now washed this at home in my washing machine/dryer successfully. I gave it an extra rinse/spin and I rotated it during wash cycle to make sure it all got clean. I dried it for 2 hours. Cons: there’s a slight smell when it’s drying but I put lots of fabric softener in and it helped, once dry it’s fine. Pros: even through an entire 1.5 wash cycles and 2 hour dry and tons of hand fluffing it did not lose one. Single. Feather. Unbelievable. It fluffed back up to normal.
