Not bad
I collect the smaller transformers where the alt modes are 1:43ish for cars and 1:72ish for planes. And Im a huge combiner fan so this is a dream come true. Yes the combined mode is kind of terrible. But if you consider the combined mode as a bonus the robot and dino modes are quite good. Combined is acceptable. The legs are quite goofy in bot mode, but it was necessary for lower torso modr. Its very possible 3rd party companies will create upgrades that can help visually. All of them need the correct swords. All of these desperately need sticker upgrades which Im hopeing toyhax will come through and design a set of stickers for all 6 once the set is finished. But now is the time to get these. Once the upgrades start rolling in people will want these and demand and prices will go up.

Dopey looking, fun to mess with.
It's no secret that the figure doesn't look great. But as someone who bought this purely as a fun small Transformer, I can safely say I'm satisfied. It has a fairly simple transformation that you or a younger child could figure out fairly easily. Still is disappointing that there's no poseability for dinosaur mode though.

Small but fun
I know this is the least popular of the dinobots, but it is still an entertaining figure. Though not as articulated as the others, the price was fair

Sludge is just OK
Sludge is a core class figure, he measures 4" long, 2" tall. In Brontosaurus mode he is comically small next to Slag the Triceratops dinobot. With that being said in dinosaur mode he looks good, just has no posability in this mode. When in robot mode he poses OK, but looks funky, this is mainly because of how he forms the torso for the Volcanicus Combiner figure with the remaining 5 dinobot core class figures later on. I personally think as a stand alone toy he's just OK, the robot mode is pretty ugly, but posable and the dinosaur mode looks good, but can't do anything except stand there. I recommend this figure if you're going to get all six dinobots. As a single toy, he's easy enough to transform and I suppose for a kid to play with it does the job.
