I haven’t dropped my computer in it (and I hope I never do!), but it does seem like it would lend at least some protection in the event of a fall. I got it mostly for the hard case/shell, but ended up putting the screen cover on too, though I may end up taking it off. It’s a little shiny and would add glare if you were outside. The keyboard cover works well, the one downside being that since it’s dark, my lighted keyboard doesn’t shine through very well, making hard to see the keys at night. I may end up switching that out at some point. I was very pleased to find this design, since the majority of laptop cases seemed to be flowers or something else weird.
