We recommend oiling every 30 days or so depending on usage moving forward. **Q: Is this reversible?** A: It is reversible, with different wood patterns on each side. **Q: What is the thickness of this board?** A: It’s probably about half an inch thick. Not heavy board, medium weight. I wouldn’t chop bone with a butchers knife on it but great for every day cutting. **Q: Can I put it under an air fryer to protect my granite?** A: Yes, that is why I purchased it.
