Has anyone had good experience using them for vocals? What is your opinion on using these for singing? Thanks.** A: I wouldn't used these for live vocal performances but for home recording these are pretty good. With the right amount of compression I was getting some impressive results. Then again i'm into rock music. **Q: How well would these microphones work for recording ambient nature sounds - like birds chirping all around me?** A: A pair of them should work well, especially with the omni cartridge installed. The response curve on these isn't completely flat, but with a little post-production EQ, you could get some decent results out of them. You will need a recorder or mixer with phantom power, though. **Q: How well do these perform for voice recording? I need something to be used in a very noisy environment of people talking, can they block it out?** A: In my tests (my computer speakers on my desk playing a YouTube video while I was talking 12" away from the mic), the microphones still very clearly picked up the YouTube video, even when the speakers were in the microphone's null zone. So for noisy environments, look for a dynamic vocal mic, something like the SM58 or Sennheiser e835, which seems to do a better job of suppressing sounds that are not right in front of the microphone. **Q: Would these mics work good for overhead on drums?** A: I got them for this exact purpose and have been so impressed by how they're delivering. Granted, I'm not an audio engineer and i can only compare this to what i was getting out of a handful of cheap dynamic mics before this, but for my purposes they seem to pick up everything so cleanly, with the cymbals sounding sparkly and real, but the toms and snare still having plenty of presence too. pairing them with a bass mic is crucial, though. I'll post a review with a little more detail but bottom line is I'm pleased as punch. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value *by on Reviewed in the United States September 16, 2020* Trying to mic a clarinet for a live band (drums, bass, guitars... that kind of band) performance without spending big money has been a challenge. This is the third mic setup I've tried and I think it's the final! I've used these just once so far for that purpose (super cardioid), and they performed marvelously. I attached a couple of extension mic holders to my vocal mic stand, positioned one up high and one down low, plugged into a mixer and voila, no more missing notes or feedback, and just one DI for the venue to deal with. I didn't even have to position them super close, which let me move a bit. Also used a single cardioid to lightly amplify a guitar for a live stream and it sounded better than any other mic in my house. Granted they're all vocal mics and this is my first experience with cardioid, but the sound was remarkably warm and rich. My only gripe is that the top of the case could use a thicker piece of foam. There's enough room for the mics to slip out of their slot a little, but that's an easy and cheap enough fix and the case is otherwise very nice. I'm so glad I took the chance on these when I could have easily spent 4 times more. Someday when I have a nicer clarinet and am making that big clarinet money I can upgrade. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic little mics! *by on Reviewed in the United States July 10, 2026* Neewer does it again! I am utterly blown away by the quality of these microphones for such a low price point. They rival the quality of the M-Audio Solaris for just a fraction of the cost. I will be buying more of these in the future! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the money, you can't go wrong. *by on Reviewed in the United States May 6, 2026* I am very pleased with the sound quality of these mics. I use them to record a full rock bad rehearsals and they sound great. We play loud, aggressive rock, and the mics to not distort, they retain clarity. I've only used the standard pre-installed caps, and they work great. These sound as good as mics costing much more. I hope they last! ## Frequently Bought Together - Neewer 2-Pack Pencil Stick Condenser Mic with Interchangeable Omni Cardioid and Super Cardioid Capsules Foam Windscreens Mic Clip and Carrying Case for Acoustic Woodwind Instruments - Gator Frameworks 1-to-2 Mic Mount Bar with Standard 5/8-Inch Thread Suitable for Most Microphone Stands Boom Arms (GFWMIC1TO2) - Amazon Basics Adjustable Boom Arm Height Microphone Stand with Tripod Base, Up to 85.75 Inches - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.th/products/47539564-2-pack-pencil-stick-condenser-mic-w-interchangeable-omni-cardioid](https://www.desertcart.co.th/products/47539564-2-pack-pencil-stick-condenser-mic-w-interchangeable-omni-cardioid) --- *Product available on Desertcart Thailand* *Store origin: TH* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
