This is the perfect tea kettle for a gas top stove. The bottom seems damage proof, the inside rust proof, the whistle like it won't ever suddenly randomly stop working. While the price is high, it makes me happy just to know I won't ever need another one and it is beautiful to have permanently sitting on my stove.
