In many cases, the cost to get the organic seal is not worth it to the farmer because the farmer would not make up the money just because his soybeans are now certified organic. In this case of soybeans, we pay the farmer the cost of Non-GMO and we get the soybeans tested at a lab just for our sake, to make sure our tofu and soy milk are not contaminated with pesticides/herbicides.
