I have found this to be an excellent meter. The probe itself is quite chunky compared to other meters I have tried in the past, but then, the other meters did not work, this one does. It gives results fast, feels robust enough to last, the pivoting head is useful, I do have to put my glasses on to read the dial which is set back within the casing where shadows lurk, but maybe that’s just me. All in all I am very happy with item.

as described. I think the switch could be improved as sometimes hard to tell which one you have selected. you have to switch it carefully to ensure you have only moved it across once not twice etc.

Item didn’t work and was told that the light would show under the soil, which I don’t need

My plants loved it , they are thriving now . However it stopped working after 3 months . But tbf I cleaned it with water

I used this moisture tester in my tomato patch. I had laid down about 3 inches of miscanthus mulch. Instead of having to push away the mulch and then put my finger down to see if the Earth was damp enough. I just used this meter. It seems to be quite precise. I tested it out also on some of my pots in my patio and I believe this tool is precise and helpful.

It’s helpful tool especially for beginner gardeners who need to understand what is required for their plants survive.
