Works great and took about 5 minutes to install
Installed on 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse in about 5 minutes. Have the hatchback open (use a friend or spouse to hold it if need be) use a small headed, flat screwdriver and insert beneath the existing clips on the original struts then pop 'em off or at least pop 'em until they are loose enough so you can remove the existing strut. You just need to pop it off with your hand and then work on the other side. I started with the top ones first then did the bottom ones. After both are removed, simply snap the new ones into place. You don't need to loosen the clips on the new one. Once they snap in you're in business. These work great so far (installed for around 2 days). You just need to pop the lid then gently lift up a couple of inches and the struts will take care of the rest lifting the hatchback all the way to the top.Great price on a great product. Will update review if necessary in the future but for now, these were the ticket and the ticket was rather inexpensive and easy to install.

Good, slightly strong
Works as expected, slightly strong but not too difficult to close trunk. Trunk now continues to open all the way if I open it halfway, and stays open without slamming down so it's safer than my old worn out ones. When removing the old ones and installing the new ones, you have to hold open the trunk, and the trunk is surprisingly heavy so probably best to have 2 people to reduce the risk of injury. To remove the old ones, you have to use a minus screwdriver to ply some strap thing quite a bit, then push the support out firmly but carefully, repeating for both ends and both supports. It came with some lube applied, so I just cleaned the attachment points on my car and popped it on. It's slightly difficult to pop it on for installation since the bottom end can rotate.Installation took like 5-20 minutes and only needed a thin minus screwdriver and scissors for the packaging strap.I will update this review if there are any issues.

works great on 2014 hyundai elantra GT
these are so good, I was hitting my head and with this installed for 3 months I never worry it actually takes a lot of effort to shut the hatch... easy install I added some white lithium grease so far I love it. Takes 10 min pick tool or small screw driver to pop the spring off the old one at the top and twist the lower to remove clean the ball area and add the new one. I think good value but as usual this needs to last 10 year so far its been 3-5 months...

Ten minute install
Same old problem with aging cars, they slowly break down or things quit working correctly. One day the rear hatch struts on my mini just failed. Looked like a fix I could do so called the dealer for the price of a pair. Told it would be $75 each. Went right to Amazon and found these, two for less than 1/3 the price of one OEM strut.Removal and installation was a breeze. Removed the clip on each end of the strut and it popped right out. Put the new strut on the ball connection and pushed, once on each end. Done. Repeat on the other side, job done. Hardest part of the job was looking for a board to support the hatch while I worked on the struts. People have mentioned that the strut ends are angled. Yep they're angled but work just fine. Another problem is the struts not being the same length as originals. Not sure why there is a difference, but one original strut is a bit shorter and one is the same length. Bottom line they work. Now to see for how long. Originals lasted about 15 years, so $10 a year. If the replacement last at least 2 years I'd be happy, that'll be about $11 a year. If they go 3 years I'll be making money, and if the car dies before the struts I'll be singing the praises of smart shopping. Really good for old rides where you want to same some bucks.Ok I found one minor annoyance, the struts are a bit stronger than originals. When opening hatch it will snap open at the end of the lift. Will have to support hatch at end of travel to prevent the thunk.
