So I got the product for my already lightened hair…and it didn’t work. All it did was add some shine and moisture…it did not turn any of my strands darker or gray…disappointing….

This is one of my very favorite deep conditioners for silver hair!

I took the risk and went gray last year, and this tint has completely elevated my look! It enhances my natural gray beautifully adding shine, richness, and depth without feeling heavy or artificial. I’m on my third jar and still loving it. I use it a few times a month, and the results are consistently gorgeous. I get compliments on my gray all the time now! I LOOOOVE this! It worked so well on my long gray hair. I use it to correct yellowing. I notice it where I tend to spend more time with the blow dryer or heat tools. It leaves the hair so soft and shiny. I do have a few tips: If you are using it to correct yellowing give it a chance. It might take two uses. Also, concentrate on the problem areas for the first 15 minutes then spread to the rest of the hair and rinse. I once used it all over my head for the 20 minutes, recommended and although it corrected the yellowing where I had no yellowing to start with, I ended up with a very slight slight (noticible by me) tinge of violet. If yellowing is not corrected try a clarifying shampoo or make a clarifying paste with baking soda. Then on the following shampoo day do your Overtone treatment. I will continue to buy and recommend this as long as they keep making it.

I love this product. I was very happy with it. I bleach my own hair and I have very dark brown hair so it takes several sessions of bleaching to get my hair light. I usually end up with a lot of brassy color. With all the processing I wanted to try something different to help nourish my hair and Overtone not only nourished but toned my hair better than toner has in the past. I will definitely continue to use this product.

I am transitioning to gray. My hairdresser stripped out the remaining dark brown dye in my hair. It became brassy after a while and clashed with the beautiful salt and pepper color of my gray hair. I used this product to tone down the brassiness, and it helped. I’m going to repeat the process in a week or so to see if it helps more. All in all, it was easy to use and worked as advertised.
