Very sharp, comfortable to hold, nice looking. Was surprised they are not recommended for dishwasher use (according to the box/packaging), but that's a small price to pay for a high quality knives at a reasonable price.

I spent some time searching for a couple of new kitchen knives before deciding on this pair. I wanted either European or Japanese, not far east to make sure of the steel quality. I have not been disappointed, the quality is excellent for the money, and I use the paring knife all the time.
