I liked the outsole a lot, and that's probably what sold me. It has a beautiful pattern around the stitching. Goodyear welted, good quality construction. You could wear it to the office or running errands (if you want to look better than the average slob running errands). The leather quality is so-so. It's a corrected grain, very smooth finish. I think that's where the cost savings comes from. It arrives stiff as expected, but nothing that won't relax after several wearings. The fit was just right for me. The toe box is a little big, which is what most people like. But it's not so big that you'd need to get a smaller size. There was a tiny bit of damage that occurred during shipping.
