Go on easy! My girl does take them off a lot but they're easy to get right back on. I originally purchased these because he was potty training and his daycare teacher recommended a plastic shoe in case of accidents. I didn't want to start down the Crocs path and be locked in once he developed an afinity for them, so I chose these because they are cute and functional. The insoles are cushiony, they are cuter than other plastic shoes, his feet can "breathe" when worn without socks but they also work with socks during colder months. I will order more of these as he grows. I did read about the issue with eye holes being torn.
