I don't want a heavy hose, so does the metal head have a significant advantage over a plastic one?** A: I think the steam is better but it is so heavy. I would not buy a metal head again extra steam not worth extra cost and the weight. **Q: how well does it work on wrinkled cotton shirts** A: Depends on how wrinkled it is. It works well though and gets the basic wrinkles out well. If it's been tied in a knot for months you may have to get the iron out. But I am in the clothing business and we steam all the wrinkles out with no problem **Q: Can this steamer use tap water, or distilled only?** A: I use tap water in mine.
