TL;DR: Buy this ballpoint pen if you intend to write a reasonable amount.SUMMARYGot a ten-pack of black 0.4mm/1.0mm types in May 2024, works out around GBP 0.33 per pen. Likely the best ballpoint pen available, could spend many times more for an inferior pen. Have used for decades and they write well. Take ages to dry out (years, maybe decades). For note taking (at work or in general matters) these are ideal.RARELY LEAKOccasional failures from long term storage with nib(?) point up and ink leaking into the containment area, if that happens it is rare for the ink to escape and it is obvious from a glance that a (generally slow moving) failure is happening. If memory serves, a pen of this make that has *never* been used does not fail this way.Do not recall them leaking heavily into clothing, obviously don’t leave these pens in clothes when washing or storing clothing. The ink is (in my experience) permanent, ie not washable.DRAWBACKSThese pens do not clip into pockets well and the caps can go astray, but am willing to accept these inconveniences as the positives outweigh the negatives.ALTERNATIVESThe only modern pens that are superior in some aspects are the ones you can rub out the writing with a sort of rubber, good for note taking, annotations, composing text / calculations etc (ie for formal studying), but they have their own set of problems and are sort of an alternative/equivalent to pencils.SENTIMENTALITYI preferred the old Bic pen caps that were closed, but the “new” style is safer.Like the idea of fountains pens, but these Bic jobs are classics for good reasons.

I purchased these for my small business because I need to use black pen for most correspondence, forms and labels and didn't want to run out.Good value pack of trusted bic ballpoint pens, they last well are easy to use and great for any business which needs to have black ink to sign documents with. The multipack means I can have them dotted around and carry one with me so I am never without a pen. Recommend.

Overall good pen

The pens themselves are as expected from Bic: top-notch quality and inexpensively so! However, maybe I'm being pedantic, the pens didn't arrive in the displayed packaging. Instead, they came in a (nonetheless padded) envelope. But, I guess it doesn't matter too much.The pens themselves really held up during exam season, and they didn't run out during my sitting the papers. That brings me to comfort. They are comfortable (and somehow gave me a bit of confidence too). Although, after intense, long periods of time of writing, the pens do start to impose their shape over your fingers! Also, with that, the tips of the pens do begin to become compressed and start to leak a bit, causing tiny, though noticeable ink splodges on paper - particularly as you start to write a new sentence.Anyhow, they got me through my exams very quickly and smoothly, so I would definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants to put pen to paper!

Well they are Bic pens so instantly we should expect a high quality.So Yes these pens delivery a very high grade of quality i mean you can buy a cheap pen from a local shop or a pack of 4 pens for a pound etc and you will notice the same lame effects...The pen ball not picking up ink hence when you write these no ink going to paper or leakages but.These Bic pens are of the best grade and are a must buy if you do a lot of writing a nice pack of ten pens that last long and never fail.I use these pens everyday at work and they never fail to write and the ink is always even across the paper.
