Works brilliantly and such great value
This is a brilliant gadget that splits the Ethernet supply to other devices. I have a smart TV which allows me to watch iPlayers and YouTube etc. I then bought a YouView box and plugged into the TV and then suddenly realised that that needed access to the router too ... which was a problem because I only have one ethnet socket in the lounge. So I did a little research and this gadget appeared to split the supply, had great reviews and appeared such great value. If I'm honest, I really didn't know whether this would work, but decided to order anyway. The item was delivered very promptly, with Amazon's usual efficiency and I have to say, it works a treat! It's only the size of ... remember those old audio cassette boxes? ... well, about as big as one of those? (Kids, ask a grown up!) It comes with a power supply. That surprised me because I don't think he description makes this clear, although when I think about it, it's pretty obvious that it would have one. Oh yes, if you do order one of these, make sure you have Ethernet cable ... this doesn't come with any. Overall, a fab product which is so easy to set up and as I've said above, great value for money. Don't pay any more!

Simple to set-up. Brilliant in use.
Review of YL-SF1005D 5-port switch. My router is located in an upstairs office and I wanted to connect it to a wired Youview box located downstairs I initially tried linking them via a wireless link which I attempted with several different types of repeaters, I then tried making the link using Powerline adapters but none gave me a reliable connection and throughput. In the end I did what I’d been trying to avoid and ran a Cat 5e cable from the upstairs room downstairs and connected to it this 4 port switch. I plugged the cable from the router into one of the ports and the Youview box into another and was up and running in a moment. The thought of the hassle of running a cable had made me look for other options, but the crazy thing is it actually took far less time running a cable than I’d wasted trying to get the more technically elegant solutions to work. It was far cheaper and works like a dream plus I have the bonus of being able to use the other ports to connect three more devices.. There really is no setting up with this switch. Just plug in the power supply, the cable from the router and the cables from your devices and you’re up and running.

Works great AND affordable for students
As a student currently in University Halls, this little beauty has enabled me to connect both my PS3 and laptop to the interent simulataneously. Sound simple? It is. Although you need to buy ethernet cables seperately, this consistently maintains a high-speed connection, and for any other students in a similar situation to mine, this is an absolute gem. It's simple, light, effective, cheap and so far I've had no mechanical or technical mishaps. Long may this continue. A few very small issues include a slight whirring, which can be irritating if no other sounds are present in the room. It does have a a basic, plastic feel, but considering I paid less than 7 quid for it, it certainly doesn't warrant a complaint. Finally, I suppose technically it is only possible to hook up 4 components, as one of the ports is taken up by the etherent cable connected to the router/modem. Other than that, it works superbly and suits me perfectly. Don't pay more for similar products, as this is absolutely fine and I can't imagine anything else having any significant advantages. Superb. Haz.

just what was needed
I must say the item that arrived is not the one pictured here, but is exactly the same. So, on to the review... I needed a way to get Ethernet to my home cinema system without breaking the bank on wifi dongles. So I found a 10m Ethernet cable and this little guy and strung the cable from my router (sky) to the input on this hub and then cables to telly, sky box and blue ray. Super easy! Everything works just like it should. No bottlenecks, lots of unsightly wires behind TV cabinet but that is the wired way. For £10 including 10m cable I scored here! You would do well to go this route if you have the other half's permission and don't want to spend loads on dongles... well recommended, just 4*'s though as the item received is not the item listed, but pretty much exactly the same. Oh, the power plug is UK and for some weird reason the plug on the box is on the side... its pretty small and you can wall mount it as well. Seems to be a keeper.

Set it and forget it......this 5 port unit works great and won't let you down!
Whenever I buy a PC network accessory for my home network, as soon as I take it out of the box it's clear to see that TP Link take the utmost pride in what they make. Their products always look and feel like they're built to a very high standard, and they always work with the minimum of setting up. The instructions are in clear English, and whatever the product, it works perfectly doing exactly what it's meant to do! This 5 port network switch comes with a power adapter, all that's necessary is to connect network items to it such as blueray players, TVs and digiboxes, etc, to it, then plug in a network cable the goes to the broadband router and that it, all the units can be online at the same time with absolutely no noticeable drop in speed or quality. Then forget about it in the knowledge that it'll sit there doing its job for as long as it's needed! Just one important thing to remember...it's a five port box, but one of those five ports needs to be connected to the router, so in effect four units will connect to the internet, all at the same time.

Instant set-up, instant satisfaction
I purchased this Ethernet multi-slot to expand the use of the ‘TP-Link 600 Mbps 2-Port Passthrough Powerline Adapter’ (something I had bought earlier this week), which finally gave me better connection in my room, since it is on a different floor from the internet router. I too was astounded by how small and compact it is. After plugging it into the power, all I had to do was insert the cable connected to the Powerline Adapter into any available slot of the desktop switch, introduce the rest of my Ethernet cables to their relevant sources (in my case, a PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and a gaming PC), and it was all ready to go. Just like that! So now, all 3 of my major gaming devices have solid wired connections, with no quality drop off either! Speed tests produce satisfactory results, and all consoles behave way better than on they did on Wi-fi. I can definitely recommend this product.

If you don't know which switch you need, this is probably it
This switch is really quite simple as far as computer hardware goes. Being unmanaged, you simply plug in your devices and go - there's no config to speak of. If you're looking to be able to prioritise traffic from certain devices, restrict certain MACs or applications or monitor traffic, this isn't what you're looking for and you'll need a managed switch. If you want to share a single Ethernet connection, this will serve you well. Bear in mind however, for the best data rates with new equipment with the Gigabit (Cat 6) standard, you'll need a gigabit switch such as this: TP-LINK TL-SG1005D V6 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbps Unmanaged Desktop Switch Overall this switch is a good product if you need to share a single Ethernet connection between multiple Ethernet devices for not a lot of money and will suffice for most applications. If you want advanced features or Gigabit (if you are, for example, streaming video to multiple devices at once inside your network) then there are other switches - but for all other uses, this will easily suffice, with a great price point and fast set up.

Good, with big "Buts"
I bought one of these to connect a tv, a desktop and a laptop to my modem router via a Solwise home network in a room where our domestic wi-fi is sometimes erratic. The good point about this Switch is its simplicity, and the fact that it is "plug and play". It works straight out of the box. The instructions both in the box are totally inadequate, and when you visit their website, the instructions are the same. Their "Q & A" was not working, and their internet "forum" left most of the customer questions unanswered. The bad point about it is the complete lack of any sort of service from the manufacturer. They claim 24/7 customer service. I experienced 00/0 customer service. All I wanted was a simple answer to a simple question. Dialling a UK 0845 number with all its associated costs and being kept hanging on for 10 minutes with no indication of if/when the call might be answered is an Insult to customers. This is supposed to be a technology Company!! You would have thought that they would have had an intelligent switch board. All I wanted to know was how long I would be kept hanging on for an answer to my simple question.. Nope, nothing. So, if you are lucky, it will be fine and it will work straight out of the box....... if you are unlucky - er, I think "tough" is a good summation of their service standards.

Small discreet, good enough
TP-Link 5 Port 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch, Desktop Ethernet Splitter, Ethernet Hub, Plug-and-Play, Fanless Quiet, Desktop Design, Green Technology, Unmanaged (TL-SF1005D) Cheapest one I can find. Works great still. I needed a couple more drops in my room for wiring a Sonos speaker , a TV, a wired Google TV module and this works well enough and small discreet product . I have a few of these and it's good enough

The only Ethernet switch you'll ever need!
I chose to purchase the TP-Link five port Ethernet Unmanaged Switch for my apartment to connect multiple devices that required an internet connection. The TP-link is perfect for anyone who needs to connect more than one device to Ethernet internet connections, such as college students, business owners, or the everyday person. I evaluated this device on five different criteria points: size, connection speed, price, power usage, and durability. Below are my findings. The size of this device is perfect in my mind. It is about the size of a normal 3x5 in. flash card and about an inch tall. It takes up almost no room at all, perfect for placing on or behind a desk. Connection speed is amazing! Each of the five ports is capable of internet connection speeds from 10 to 100mbps, which is very good, and they all support Auto MDI/MDIX. There is also no configuration required, just plug in an Ethernet cord from your device into this one and you’re ready to go! It’s just that easy! For less than 10$, this device is the best bang for your buck, worth every penny! It is the cheapest model that I could find on Amazon The power usage for this device is very low, in fact, its energy efficient! It consumes up to 60% less than any other device. I have had this device for over three months now and the only problem I’ve had with it is accidentally unplugging the power to the device. It has held up amazingly well and I couldn’t be happier! Overall, this device is amazing and works like a charm. It is not very expensive and takes up barely any space at all. If you are tired of Wi-Fi not working and only have one port accessible, this is the device for you! I give this device 5 out of 5 stars.

Jakoś to przegapiłem. Byłem pewien że na tylnej ściance jest wejście sieciowe a na przedniej są wyjścia, ale nie. Jeżeli potrzebujesz 5 wyjść to ten sprzęt nie jest dla Ciebie.
