For a deep hole in a window frame would you use several thinner layers or could you fill the hole in one go?

instructions say max 5mm depth in one go so depending on how deep the hole is it could be several layers. Although you may be able to fill it in one go , it may dry uneven and not bond correctly . Also risk sagging when it does eventually dry

What color is this filler when it has dried?

I would a medium brown. But you can blend it in with wood dye. 1st class product and easy to use.
