I was looking for a shake that would support my training schedule which involves a lot of cardio and strength work; I run about 25-30 miles a week, cycle 60 miles a week, advanced pilates twice a week, martial arts twice a week, and swimming whenever I can fit it in. So I was looking for a shake that would keep me lean but help to ensure I maintain muscle mass. I have not used many protein shakes before now, but have bought from GNC on the high street. I usually go for Chocolate but all the reviews said to go for vanilla, so I did. It is a very creamy shake with a medium to strong vanilla flavour. When mixed with water, it tastes a little bland, and the texture is a bit sickly (IMHO) but when mixed with skimmed milk it is actually very nice. I can't comment on how it has helped me yet, I have been using it a couple of weeks and have actually put on a pound, but body fat has fallen a little; promising start but cant make any conclusions just yet. I will update at some point in the future if I start to see some continued results!

I've been using PhD Nutrition Whey now for around 9 months. Initially I ordered it to boost my protein levels as I'm a vegetarian and it's difficult to reach a decent macro-nutrient balance without eating Quorn round the clock! It's a great taste, easy on the palate and if you shake it properly you don't get too many of the annoying lumps I've experienced in other whey powders. I'm now working out 5 times a week and this is a staple part of my weight management and muscle building programme. Over the past month I've also started adding this into my morning smoothie and I'm getting a really balanced meal. I blend it with spinach, kale, apple, carrot, berry fruits and seeds/nuts and top it up with Almond Milk. It is better than any Smoothie you could buy on the High Street and packs a real punch! The protein powder is perfect for upping the protein levels in the drink and the vanilla flavour is fantastic with fruits and nuts. I have tried other products but they're either more expensive or they taste synthetic. The artificial sweeteners in this are barely noticeable - highly recommend!

1 of the best protein powders I have tried so have ordered a couple of more tubs since. Tastes really nice on its own with water, although I do recommend using a blender as it can either be a little lumpy or stick to the side of the container. My main use for it is within fruit smoothies, add's a nice thinkness and goes well with all types of berries without being overpowering. Obviously with it being a diet whey it is filling aswell, 1 scoop = a decent size snack, 2 scoops = full meal and feel full for a good few hours. My other main reason is I wanted to increase my protein intake to aid my muscle recovery after long distance runs and I have definitely noticed a difference. Having a scoop after a run my legs are feeling much better the next more prior to using this powder. MY only niggle and it's probably the same with all large tubs, the scoop is a pain to get when it first arrives, thankfully now I have a couple I can use another :)

My husbands currently using this to aid weight loss. As a meal replacement rather than using the other well known brand. The tub is large and we will reuse it to store bits and bobs in. It's sealed on the top which is great and keeps it fresh. It comes with a plastic scoop which is one measure. It does smell good and the report from my husband is it tastes good too. It mixes with water easy using their own brand of flask. If you leave it for a minute or so it does thicken up too. He said it leaves a funny aftertaste when you burp. But that's prob due to the high protein and vitamin content. He said it's nothing too bad though. He's quite a large fellow and using this and eating a low calorie evening meal with three snacks a day he's losing around 1-2 kg a week. So nice and steady. Keep your water intake up when using this product too.

I have been buying this for a while and seen this large bag on amazon. However as is often the case the "new and improved recipe" in my opinion is not. 🙄 Its okay, and fine mixed with other ingredients, but now trying others rather than sticking with this brand.

On the tube, it says that one scoop (scoop comes included inside the tube) equals 25 grams of the product. However, as I discovered, this is not accurate as the scoop itself weighs 7 grams and a scoop full with the product weighs 37 grams, so that means that one scoop full with the product contains 30 grams and not 25 grams as it is erroneously stated on the tube. This is probably not that important for the casual user, but if you are serious with your nutrition and on a cutting phase and you are calculating everything on an excel spreadsheet, this error in dosage could mean that you could be getting 30 grams more of the product (abt 105 calories) per day than you had originally calculated if you are like me and you eat around 6 scoops of the product per day. This is even more important if you are female and on a cutting phase, as females have got less leeway in calories than males do, so be careful.

not the same as the one i usually order. Thought it was but this one is not gluten free, grass fed etc.

Buon rapporto qualità prezzo, purtroppo il gusto è molto lieve e non si sente molto la vaniglia. Ho provato altri gusti di questa marca e li ho trovati migliori. La busta è resistente e c'è molto prodotto all'interno, consiglio questa quantità a chi si allena giornalmente, per evitare che scada prima di averlo consumato tutto.

Très bonne miscibilité avec eau et lait. Goût crème vanille excellent (un peu trop même il faut surveiller ses apports en protéine sans pour autant en abuser) Plus cher que certains produits équivalents chez myprotein mais ce goût n'existe pas dans cette marque. Pour résumer un très bon produit, au niveau efficacité je ne me prononce pas (pas assez de recul)
