Tough to control, poor results, buy real lino
As a seasoned lino cutter I made a mistake buying this as I've never had much success with this stuff it's pretty horrible to cut compared to real lino it is just hard workand very tough to control

Broken Lino
Unfortunately the item came in the box all smashed in and damaged and the softcut Lino has been damaged too. I’m quite upset and it’s a shame as it looks like it’s been kicked about. With the Lino being damaged I can’t use the item

Nice and soft and easy to cut
Is inked up well and gave a good print. I do wonder if a slightly harder material would give crisper lines but this worked well for what I wanted it to do

Received with dents from where it is sealed from the packaging
It looks good quality and I'm happy that it's a light colour to see what you draw, but the downside is the way it is packaged damages the product. The lino that faces the seal, has dents all the way across which imprinted on the lino. I'm hoping I can still use this and it doesn't ruin the prints that I make with it. Considering it's not that cheap compared to other brands, was disappointing to receive partially damaged goods

Really easy to carve - works with paint too
I hadn't done any lino cutting before, so I can't compare. However, this stuff was really easy to carve, almost too easy! I drew my design, a bird, on to the lino with a biro (not ideal but it doesn't matter as it gets cut away). Then used a v shaped tool to cut the lines. I have a selection of tools but used this same one for this design. I then rollered on some acrylic paint, pressed my thin cotton fabric on to the lino, and rubbed away. I used a small clean hard roller and my hands. When I lifted the cloth off, voila! I had a fabulous bird outlined in the faded blue background. You are really supposed to use ink but I didn't have any and was eager to try it. Plus the faded effect was just what I wanted. I couldn't believe how good it looks! This stuff is going to be a great boon to me. I may try and get some larger sheets.

Not for professional use
I bought this to try in my printing practice to trial. I wouldn’t recommend them for professional use. Whilst they’re easy to cut, they’re very unforgiving, you can’t use carbon paper or pencil to mark on them and your design will quickly rub off so anything too detailed is pointless. Probably great for hobbyist.

Good but not as soft as easy carve
After trying to carve lino which i found difficult, i purchased a speed ball speedy carve which was really easy to carve. I then found this product which was cheaper and thought i would give it a go making stamps, it's not as difficult to carve as lino but not as soft speedy carve, it has more of a plastic texture. Must say i prefer the speedy carve overall

Don’t understand the bad reviews
People making bad reviews don’t really know how to use this product. I receive perfect professional results with it, and I love the fact that’s it resist perfectly the difficult cleaning process of the professional oil based relief inks without any waist or change in the cuts, finally i can wash my matrices without fear to damage my work. By printing, it provides very clean edges and fully rich ink coverage on the paper. Also the surface is very nice to trace the designs with the transfer technique, if you use it correctly, the designs will resist quite good the carving process and they will not vanish until you clean it with soap. Overall, very good quality, really soft to cut and easy to clean. I’m glad to have this option.

Ottimi

Not for me!
Never again; it creates gummy worms, doesn’t break cleanly, drags on the edges, can’t get sharp corners, just not worth it. I threw it out midway through my project. I’ll use real linoleum (or shina plywood) instead. I even had much better results with Speedball Speedy-Carve.

Buen carvado
Tiene muy buen carvado, aunque puede resultar un poco seco, y necesita que la tinta no sea muy espesa.
