Breville DuraCeramic Waffle Maker | Non-Stick and Easy Clean Waffle Iron with Deep-Fill Removable Plates | White and Stainless Steel [VST072]

Waited a while to review this. Great product, straightforward use. Not easy to find a good, branded, affordable waffle maker that has ceramic plates (at least for me). Perfect waffles each time!

This is the best and easy to use and easy to clean waffle maker.The waffles comes evenly golden brown and they ready within 7 minutes .I made different waffles from plain to chocolate or hearty ones and many more to make.The waffle iron can have a good wash after each use.It comes with removable plates they are easy to take out with a click button . Its already non stick ,so in no need for oil or butter.The clasp you only close it when you want to put it in storage not when in use ,due that the waffle will rice and need to have space to bake .When the batter is to thin the waffle maker will fall into the closed position ,so be aware to keep it open until the waffle has some rosen..It will give some steam ,this is totaly normal when the batter is inside It need to be in open position,so the steam can go away to get good waffles.Overall this is my best waffle maker my family love everything what comes out from it.Simple recepies in the instruction booklet included.They come out perfectly fluffy .We can't get enough of it and for my children they find easy to use and doesnt take long to get delicious waffles ,better than buying expensive outside from restaurants while you can make it at your own home.

Bought this to replace our Tower waffle maker that was over 5 years old and had lost it's non-stick. So far this dedicated waffle maker has been excellent. I mostly use it for making gluten free waffles. The non stick works great without any oil. The removable plates are great for cleaning but should only be hand washed in my opinion. The finished waffles dont have as consistent browning as my previous waffle maker but they taste just as good. One tip I would give, especially for gluten free waffles, is to turn the waffle maker upsidedown at the start of cooking for half the cooking time. This results in crispy even cooking to both sides with nice fluffy insides. Happy waffle making.

Brilliant product , very easy to operate, perfect waffles , best part is the removable plates that can be cleaned properly . No temperature control so take a tad bit time to cook but am ok with that . Crispy waffles are always ready !

Good quality and value and easy to clean

Pretty impressed by this waffle maker. My first waffles have done from almost random recipe without proper measurements: some milk, some plain flour, butter, baking powder, egg and a little cocoa. But even with such a random recipe waffled appeared super tasty! First two waffles I ate without any additions they were soooo nice. Waffle maker was like new after cooking, no mess, nothing left on plates. Didn’t expect THAT GOOD result. Trust me, I’m not great at cooking. For second two waffles I added condensed milk and berries- waffles became even better. Nice addition to the kitchen! Very happy with the purchase. So many options to cook waffles and enhance breakfast with some hot food.

This is a great little waffle maker that's easy to use and clean afterwards. A little bit of experimentation, patience and care should mean it lasts well. We've had ours about 6 months now and use it at least once a fortnight, sometimes weekly. It's still looking and working like new. We found many of the recipes in the accompanying manual worked well, but our favourite is the "Luxury waffles" variant. We usually halve the quantity otherwise have to freeze half of them which works well too. We tried a few online recipes but keep coming back to the Luxury one. Make sure it's up to temperature and use a quick, light spray of oil on both surfaces before the first and after every couple of uses which makes the waffles slip out without any sticking at all. I use a curved rubber (spoon-like) spatula to drip the mix onto the plates as I can gauge the 'load' better and position it into the corners better than just pouring from a mixing bowl or jug. I do 5 minutes first then turn them over and finish with 2 minutes. That seems to give a firm but not hard result :) Cleaning is easy when you can remove the plates and wipe down the rest. Very happy.

This waffle maker is fantastic. It works well and within minutes, the ceramic plates (the main reason I bought this - I do not trust teflon/non-stick) are amazing at not sticking, and very easy to remove and clean HOWEVER. I used it once when bought it, Jan 2020. I put it in the drawer, life happened and I remembered about it about it in July this year, pulled it out and used it for waffles. It tripped the socket (which had been tested as part of the landlord electric tests in late March this year, and passed) I had plugged it into as it reached temperature. We reset the socket and tried again. It did the same. I thought maybe the socket had been overloaded somehow because of the way it had been wired, so I tried it in another socket. It worked fine and went all the way through cooking with no issues. Something niggled at me though, and I took it to our local electrician to test it. They looked at it and told me they could not repair it. Unfortunately no details yet as I haven't managed to get in touch with the engineer who tested it, but I will eventually. Suffice it to say, it may have been outside warranty period, I appreciate that, but it should not have failed after what is actually TWO uses. I contacted Breville and they basically put their hands up and long story short told me it was outside the warranty, they won't even consider taking it back for a replacement. They did offer me 20% off another one. I personally do not think this is good enough, I have lost faith in their brand if they can not be bothered to stand by their name, and instead choose to hide behind their warranty. I doubt I will ever buy Breville again. It's a shame as they are the only ones I know of at the moment who do the ceramic plates. My search continues..
