Looks like real slate!
I bought to go under an electric fire to make it look like a real fireplace! I wasn’t sure what I was getting or how it would look but I was surprised. The pad was heavier than I thought and looks like a piece of slate the quality is so good. It fit perfect under the fire. It was great value for the price paid I’m very impressed.

This was a previously used item. In fact it was just returned in damaged packaging. Saved a few quid and got the same thing anyway. Will use that service again. Very pleased

Not quite the colour in the pictures
It was darker than it looks in the photos: more black than slate grey. There was also a mark on it, although we could have lived with that if it had been the right colour. So we sent it back as it didn’t really set the fire (a Dimplex Brayford) off as it was too close in colour. In another room or with another fire it might have looked OK.

Good quality and nice-quality product product
Very nice product. Good quality. . Perfect with my new electric stove! It is heavy so unpack and handle with care I have LVT flooring. I put furniture pads at strategic points on the underside of the mat.
