First impression: really pleased. Was worried about the pressure on my phone from the grip but with a case I feel far more comfortable as not even touching the screen. Makes videos stable and easy to use, will update over time! Update: lasted about seven months before the leg snapped off and had to be replaced. This tripod wasn’t always the best as it didn’t hold when wrapped around things (e.g branches), but did a decent job for meetings etc even if it was a little small. Survived longer than expected given my heavy handling!

Very good product, easy to use

My son likes this item. This is his third one. They don't last forever, but to be fair, he is pushing his to the limits with stop motion lego filming.

First off I'd like to start by saying: If you're after a mobile tripod for VERY basic photography, this will do the job and is worth buying. The flexibility of the legs add a surprising amount of versatility to the kind of shots you can take, and overall it does well to stabilise the phone you're using (I'm using a Galaxy Note 10+ a MASSIVE heavy beast of a phone, and it can handle it) It is worth noting however, if it's particularly windy out, this will fall short to keep itself completely steady, but equally as I said this is for very basic photography. I personally have been using it for long exposure shots of the sky at night and I must say the value of having a simple tripod to hold my phone steady while my phone takes its 10/15/30 second shots has been immeasurable, albeit normally needing to take a few pictures before getting one that's completely still. But in the few shots I've taken I've more than gotten my money's worth out of this. And bonus points for it are I've also found it surprisingly useful for selfies and video conference calls. The only real downsides to this can come from expectations and one other thing, this is still a very cheap tripod. While all the stuff I've noted have been great, that's kind of to be expected from owning any tripod really (I mean, that's the point of them after all!) The one other thing: The ball on top only really let's you move the phone up and down to a 90° angle, I'd like some more diversity in that realistically. It's not made of the strongest materials, but like I said at the start - it does the job and my verdict is you're not likely to be disappointed as long as you respectfully understand, you're getting what you pay for here. However in hindsight, given that I can see myself taking a lot more photos and using this a lot more frequently, I personally (stress personally!) would have probably invested in a slightly more expensive one, and probably will.

Brilliant gadget, well worth the money.

If you're like me and spend a long time video chatting with others, or like to have your phone playing a YouTube video whilst working on the laptop then this is a great bit of equipment. I don't have the biggest phone - (original iPhone SE H: 4.87" W: 2.31") so the stand is able to hold the phone fine in landscape or portrait. It's even better as the grips are on the side so you can charge your phone at the same time. The legs are quite durable and versatile so you can get creative with how you would like to position your phone. It's not the best if you want significant height nor for heavier phones as it does take a lot when it come to repositioning the legs in the right way to hold your phone but after a few attempts you'll rarely need to change it's position. I have also found that the legs require a wider area to spread out when propping up your phone so if your surface doesn't have a lot of space then I'd be aware or get creative with maybe hanging it off a ledge or hooking it over It's advantages over a pop-socket that probs up your phone is that you can charge your phone at the same time as you can access the base of the phone.
