This was my first review. Mea Culpa. I got it wrong, so my new and improved review follows this... "The thing is very difficult to get working in my car. It answers the incoming call fine, but outgoing calls just won’t connect. It says “Having difficulty connecting, please try again later” If I try it in the house it works fine, if I put it in the car it won’t work. Even if the car is stationary or moving. So it’s great for receiving calls but won’t send them." When at first I thought there was something wrong because once in the car, it would not connect I was a bit curious. It worked in the house, but not in the car. Very strange. Then I remembered that on the iPhone, the Bluetooth transmission and control of other similar devices like Music players won't work unless WiFi is also available. I think it's an iPhone thing maybe? Anyway, I enabled Mobile Data along with the Bluetooth, and Presto Bumpo, it worked. Of course, I had used up my phone data allowance so had to wait a week. Meantime I'd been in touch with Support who were very helpful and also determined to track down the "Unable to connect, please try again later" message. Paid for more data on my phone plan and as I said, it now works perfectly. My wife who uses the car to get to and from work can now stay in touch and everyone is happy. As it's a Christmas present for her, I'm also happy. Very. The gadget is small, light easily fits on the sun visor, but could be mounted anywhere convenient really and super easy to use. Push the button, wait for the phone to respond, usually about a second and it even interrupts the music while in use. Really useful device. Doesn't require you to take your eyes off the road even for a second. The Call Button is large and easy to feel. Love it.

Bought as a gift and was concerned about sound given some other reviews. As someone who uses built in car Bluetooth while travelling it was always difficult to hear my GF who would be using loudspeaker or hands free while in her car. Not anymore! The sound is not like that from built in hands free kits but it is perfectly adequate as an alternative solution at a fraction of the cost. Easy pairing process. Incredible battery life. Sleek and low profile design, hardly noticeable once fitted but gives off good enough sound to have a flowing conversation despite normal road and motorway noise.

This is a great piece of kit. The sound quality is excellent with no discernible buzz or hiss. Volume control is wide, whilst at the top end I am amazed at the quality and clarity of sound. The unit is light such that placing on the cars sun shade does not bend or put undue weight on it, though depending on the car it can be a bit in your face. Of course it could be just placed on the other seat or somewhere else convenient as the bluetooth connection is strong. The buttons for its operation are of a decent size such that large fingers will have no problem operating them. Overall it is compact and bijou. The initial setup was somewhat easy as described within the manual, though I had to retrace a couple of steps to verify just what I had done and to ensure just what the lights were telling me, but thats down to me. Battery once inserted took a charge and was completed within an hour, will be interesting to note just how long a charge will last. A thought. Perhaps a set of velcro stickers to allow for placing the unit in a different position? Thoroughly recommend this piece of handsfree phone kit, it does what it says, receives and makes a call at the click of a button with exceptional clarity.

Great item, however I've had trouble with it, when it works it's brilliant. Very clear. The only issue I've had is the battery running out too quickly, and also, I realised that the bluetooth kept pairing with my phone when I was the house and the car was on the drive. Which meant any phone calls that I had were played out on the speaker in the car, meanwhile I couldn't hear anything at my end of the phone!!! I bought this one specifically because it had the auto-on function but now i've had to turn that function off so the thing doesn't keep pairing with my phone when i'm not in the car. To give Avantree their due, they sent me a replacement item when I told them that the battery kept running low so often. Their customer service is second to none. *UPDATED RATING FROM 3 TO 5 STARS* due to their good customer service in sorting out the issue.

Easy to use, but the speaker and mic are of cheap quality, distortion level when in call is for me unacceptable for the price paid. I returned mine and got refunded. Not recommended sorry!

This unit arrives well packaged, and a simple elegant interface. As you will see from the picture of the product, there are not a huge number of buttons on the device. This keeps it simple to use. The device is reasonably compact, and will fit in most places that you can attach the mounting clip to - like your sun visor. The battery has to be fitted to the unit by the customer - easy enough. Should also be at a reasonable charge level. The unit received was fully charged, but that probably depends on how long the box has been sitting in the warehouse. The small form factor instruction booklet has sections for several different languages. The primary instructions are on two sides of very small paper sheet. Pairing is very simple. When switched on first time, unit starts in pairing mode. Phone had no issues when connecting to the unit. Signal quality very good. Sound volume and quality is also very good for such a small unit. When mounted in the car, unit will switch on as soon as the car door is opened. Presumably, it also goes into standby after a certain period of disconnection from the phone. Have not stayed in car long enough to confirm this, and as it has motion detection, might be quite tricky to test this :-) As this unit only arrived several days ago, will have to wait and see what the lifetime of the device is. So far, very impressed

Honnêtement je ne m'attendais pas à une telle qualité pour ce prix, l'autonomie, la voix, le son. Tout ce qui est annonçé est réel et pourtant je l'utilise le plus souvent dans une dacia Mcv première génération, véhicule qui est, il faut bien le reconnaître, très mal insonorisé. Ce Kit fonctionne impeccablement et la puissance sonore suffit à rendre clairement toute discussion. Je l'utilise avec un Sony xpéria et un Samsung S8. enfiin un gros plus pour le vendeur, fabriquant, qui envoie un mail suite à l'achat pour envoyer en plus de la notice livrée, sur une vidéo explicative. Belle attention. S'il fallait un défaut ce serait la longueur du cable qui ne permet pas le branchement sur l'allume cigare tout en étant accroché au pare soleil, mais comme je ne suis jamais tombé à cours de batterie en le rechargeant tous les deux ou trois jours, le problème ne se pose pas. Un produit que je recommande vu son prix très abordable en plus du reste.

Werkt perfect en is goed te verstaan aan bijde zijden van de lijn. Is gemakkelijk in gebruiken, en is makkelijk om te bevestigen aan de zonnenklep.

Estamos en proceso de prueba, así que aún no le otorgo todas las estrellas. el aparato es mas pequeño de lo que esperaba, ajusta perfectamente a la visera sin apretar tanto como para mellarla. Hay un error en las instrucciones en castellano y vienen parte en alemán. Tirando del inglés es fácil de solucionar y, además, enseguida se pone el fabricante en contacto para ofrecerse a solventar dudas. En principio es algo lioso, pero creo que seré capaz de dominarlo sin problemas, sigo probando sus posibilidades. Enlazó a la primera y desde el vehículo se oye muy bien, tanto las llamadas como indicaciones del móvil. Me comentan que el interlocutor lo oye un poco metálico, pero bien. Por ahora, recomendable. Tras un par de semanas de uso he de decir que sigo más que satisfecha. Se conecta sin problemas al móvil cuando entró al coche. Los demás dicen oirme perfectamente y yo a ellos. Aún no he cargado su batería y no es nada molesto con pitidos, luces o locuciones. Por poner una pega, cuando trasmite indicaciones (Por ejemplo de Google maps) disminuye el volumen y hay que subirlo, pero tampoco pienso que sea un problema pues no es deseable a veces que se conecte a todo volumen para ese tipo de cosas. Con las llamadas no pasa. Si se busca un producto de estas características, lo recomiendo sin duda. Y el servicio post-venta funciona de lujo!!

My original review: Waste of money for me. Continually disconnects during use. Sound is ok. Hate that it doesn't work like I had hoped, but having to constantly reconnect it is just to much of a bother. UPDATE: I was contacted by Avantree almost immediately about my review. Please note that they reached out to me, I didn't contact them. They offered to exchange the unit or take it back. They also suggested I try a reset using the instructions on the provided link. We did the reset this morning and now this unit works beautifully. We've had it on in the house for several hours listening to music and making phone calls. It has stayed connected without any problems at all. Avantree has excellent customer service. Their emails to me were friendly and helpful. I will be doing business with this compay in the future.
