Caran Dache: Luminance Pencil Colour: White.

I wanted to try a Caran D’Ache pencil and needed a white pencil to draw whiskers and fur. So I purchased just one pencil to try and I was not disappointed, the pencil was easy to use, well made and comfortable to hold. The pigment showed up over other pencil work without having to use heavy pressure or constant drawing to get the pigment to stick. I will now consider buying a tin in future.

This is the first time I’ve used these pencils and I’m so glad I tried them. They are as amazing as the hype. Sadly because of the price they will be a one pencil at a time purchase but well worth the wait. If you are considering buying and can afford to, just do it, you won’t regret it.

Brilliant white pencil for highlights

I brought this as my prisma white was out of stock, but it is a really nice pencil. It highlights well on top of my copic alcohol markers and doesn't snap as often as my other pencils do. Great little buy, just wish for it's price it was a little more opaque without having to build to many layers, as it starts to look scratchy.

Great! Can’t go wrong! Love the strength of the tip but still gives you a smooth application. The price is good, just a shame the postage prices spoil the pleasure of the purchase.

Every artist is always looking for ways to make their artwork better, as I do and this is an excellent pencil. I normally use Faber-Castell Polychromos white but find the colour doesn't lay down as well on other colours as this Caran Dache white does. It is much more vibrant and makes the highlights pop, especially on black as you can see on my drawing. Highly recommended for any artist looking to make their work stand out.

You want to know how opaque this is, it's the second best white I've encountered so far. 1st Staedtler Lumocolor Glasochrom Pencil White - This will cover anything with white, nearly as good as an ink or tipex, it's by far the best. 2nd Caran D'Ache Luminance 6901 White - It's about 60% as good as the Glasochrom, however it's the most opaque "coloured pencil" white. 3rd Conté à Paris Drawing Pencil White (Non Colored Pencil, 11mm) or Sanford Prismacolor White (Wax based Coloured Pencil) The rest (Various Derwent, Faber Castell Polychromo, Lyra Rembrandt) are all more suitable for blending or lightening values slightly.

Not as bright white as expected. The Prismacolour White pencil is whiter. It's nice to use though.

Je suis très content de cet achat.. ils étaient très bien emballés, ils ont été livrés plus vite que prévus.. je m'en sers pour mes dessins comme celui que j'ai partagé avec ce commentaire et en plus, ils sont Faber Castell et Prismacolor compatibles autant pour leur couleur brute que pour les melanges ou "blinder".. je recommande vivement ces crayons de couleur d'excellente qualité malgré leur prix mais on s'y retrouve car ils couvrent très bien et s'usent très peu.. donc le bénéfice qualité prix va en leurs faveur.. bonne journée à tous..et amusez vous buen avec..! 👋😉

For a white pencil i would rate this number one right beside my prisma color. I havmt tried every white pencil but ive tried a tooon of them . Its a bit on the high end but i think its worth every dime and saves me so much in fusteration level
