Fitting was easy, I have mine on the resting on the dashboard connected to windscreen by 2 suction cups and a bracket which inserts into back of the device. Took me 30 mins to feed cables from car power outlet, so that they were unseen and I was happy with the position of the Skyway on the dash. Could quite easily take someone else 2 minutes, I just like to have all cable out of sight's view. Instructions on setup are fine, you can google what each feature is/does in vast amounts of detail, if you wish to. If you are happy with the fact that this things detects virtually all speed traps that the UK and probably Europe has to throw at you, then just 'plug & play'. Some reviews mention that the display becomes obscurred in bright sunlight, well what doesn't? I find that very 'picky' indeed. This is a good product that works and won't break the bank and could potentially save you points on your license, fines to boot and also insurance increases! What the Aguri Skyway is not, is an excuse to drive irresponsibly!! We all stray over the limit on occasions, well this little gadget just might help from being caught and remind you to lower your speed. Hope this helps, I don't think you will be disappointed if you decide to purchase one these things. Cymru am Byth!! Review: Excellent device - After attending the speed awareness course, i figured I'd invest in a detector to save further hassle in the future. After a number of days seriously looking into the various models available, I came across this one with good reviews. I've now owned two of these devices, as the first one had a faulty suction mount and had the unlucky scenario of it sliding across the dash and out of the passenger window after 3 days. Lets talk about that for a minute... On this second unit, the suction windscreen mount has a two stage click; a small one that requires less force to locate, and a second one that really holds the device secure which requires a bit more force to engage. Once it is fully locked in, there should be 10mm between the detector and the curved bend in the mount. There is no way the device will fall off, whether it's it's your standard soft suspension in a Fiesta or something stiff like a track kit car, the latching system inspires confidence. Shame the first unit didn't work like this and the manual did not really cover how well the mount holds the device and only to ensure it's securely mounted to the window. (not a complaint, just an observation) After looking at seller feedback when i contacted Aguri support, I did see that another buyer had experienced the same so possible there's a few poorly constructed units out there in regard to the mount mechanism. Hopefully some new & old owners will see the above and get them to check the mount system before potentially loosing their purchase like i did. the unit itself does not feel cheap, and buttons do not feel like they'll fall apart any time soon. I have played around with the various sensitivities on the unit but found the factory default detection setup works well. Other cars with radar have not triggered the unit, i've had very few false positives (auto doors do trigger it when driving around the carpark in-front of shops), but in a way i like that as it shows the device is working and can be used for testing. The device is plenty loud enough with it's alerts and it also seems to have an 'end of threat'. Definitely does it for GPS location cameras but since I've only had the device for a few days, not been able to tell if this is also on live detection (K-band/laser) yet. Visually, the display is clear even in sunlight. Update of GPS database was positive; downloads were fast - a few minutes at most. Speaking of updates, i did notice that when i connected the device to my PC, it asked if i wanted to format the device. I chose not to (didn't know the consequences of doing so, so i left it alone), updated the GPS db via the Aguri tool and everything worked as expected. I really am struggling to find a fault with the unit, or Aguri support. Impressive all round. Maybe a light sensor so the display auto-dims based on ambient light but that would be icing on the cake!

Useful product, works as intended, bad display design.
An interesting device, here's my review. I bought this from an awareness standpoint more than anything, I'm a fairly high millage driver, but I'm often going to places I'm not familiar with and would rather be made aware of anything that is going to cause me to slam on my brakes before I see it. Despite all best intentions (and abiding by the speed limit on the whole) my first reaction when seeing a speed van or camera, is to jump on the brakes (regardless of speed). So tough luck for the driver behind me driving too close! Easy to install; I mounted mine to the windscreen next to the A-Pillar, low down, although placement is probably quite critical. There's a balance to be had; placing the unit where it will be most sensitive to sources, vs not obscuring your view forwards. It has a rear detector, which sometimes goes off, but it is not particularly sensitive to the rear due to me/car seats/ rear seats etc blocking the sensor. You can configure it for your country, switching off the unnecessary bands which I have done. Despite the filters, you'll find driving through town quite interesting. Most traffic lights and most shop door ways use K-Band radar to detect traffic/stop accidents. They WILL set this device off all the time. Luckily there is a mute button and a volume rocker. The display is hopeless and a bad design. Not only does it capture sunlight with its shape, it also generates a lovely refection on the windscreen at night. There's a stealth mode, which dims the lights to off which is good. But it's ultimately a shame, because these devices that use GPS, offer greater speed accuracy than your speedometer which is often under clocked. You can update the database from time to time through a computer (I used a Mac which is also supported). You will occasionally get false-positives from LIDAR (cars with adaptive cruise control, or collision avoidance) This has happened about 4 times in 1 month (driving every day). Mostly on country lanes where you come face to face with another car. Other than that, I've been quite pleased with the performance so far. Granted, the Laser element probably only confirms you have been caught (laser speed detectors operate at times measured in fractions of a second). But its useful to know where the risk areas are and whether or not you are being targeted.

Too many false alarms to put up with it any longer
Superficially, this is a nicely built product, but.... I really can't live with it after just a week of use. In the town it picks up automatic doors on supermarkets and petrol stations everywhere, it even picks up the regular traffic light traffic sensors on most sets of lights (so not cameras, the sensors used to time the lights). Driving into work is a continual stream of "Warning! K-band radar" every minute or so. Driving me mad. And yes, I'm using the recommended settings for the UK as per the manual, and have tried max filtering. The GPS isn't much better. Every day, without fail, it warns of a fixed speed camera on the road parallel to the one I'm traveling on, and a 40 mph "risk zone" on a road parallel to the 70 mph road I'm traveling on. My sat-nav copes with differentiating both situations fine. And finally, what does the "automute" feature actually do? The manual helpfully says "the automute button turns the automute feature on and off" without ever saying what that means. I've turned it on, and off, seems to make no difference to anything either way. It's going on Ebay.

picking up pretty much every camera
I was a skeptical purchaser, never having used one before, and recently racked up some points as a mugging victim of two of the highest earning cameras in the country. Now I regret not having bought one of these years ago. Very, very helpful driving experience, encourages awareness and safe driving, not speeding. My own tickets were in speed change zones where the limit changes drastically with little or no advance warning, no rumble strips, obscure signage and no change to the road layout. Just cameras raking in a hundred or so tickets a day, or a few million quid per year for the council. Now with this device I just did a 200 mile round trip including towns and countryside and this performed spectacularly, picking up pretty much every camera, some I was aware of and a majority that I wasn't aware of, and usually with lots of advance notice. And very few false readings, since it ships in UK with Laser on and K band on and the others off (adjsutable if you go abroad). I read some bad reviews of their GPS database, but it worked brilliantly for me. I will take this on every trip from now on and feel a lot safer for it. Really didn't expect these detectors to perform so well, if at all. Very pleased, very impressed. Highly recommended.

Aguri Skyway 😉
I have had a road Angel for many years now. But was searching for a newer model for a while now and doing alot of researching. I have never heard of Aguri Skyway before and came across it on Amazon here so I read all the reviews and decided I would go with it. I received the Aguri Skyway in 3 days which was very fast and I was well impressed with the delivery service outstanding. This product came in a very impressive box all wrapped up in a clear wrapping film to protect from fingerprint's and smudges. Very easy to install as it could be hardwired to the vehicle as I have not because I will be taking it out and using it in our F150 truck when i go back to Canada dont know how it will work but I will give a further update when I get it over there. This device works very well picking up cameras I didn't know where there at all. I do alot of driving in the Northern Ireland and the South of Ireland too it picks up all the gatsco vans and the risk zones and even cameras on traffic lights too I did not know where there at all. So I have to say this is a fantastic piece of kit and especially as its free updates for life too. I have highly recommend this product to other friends of mine too. I also recommend using the Veil V5 to paint over the lights and the plate to block that laser too which I have installed .So I give this product a Big 5 stars

and to be 100% honest I am not entirely happy with it
Aguri Skyway GPS/radar/laser Speed Trap Detector. So I have used this product for just over a month now, and to be 100% honest I am not entirely happy with it. Fitting was quite easy, I mounted this towards the bottom of my windscreen with the 2 suction cups, and threaded the wires around into the cigarette lighter socket. As soon as that was done, it was ready to go! The settings were pre-optimized for use in the UK, but I would double check them anyway to make 100% sure. The radar/laser detector so far as I know seems to work well, detecting radar from a decent range provided there's not a lot of obstacles between it and the source and provided minimal false positives. However I have had numerous problems with the GPS detection. It seems to not be very accurate, and multiple times will pick up and warn of speed traps on an entirely different road which can be a good 200+ meters parallel. Just because you are travelling in the same direction, it will go off, often leaving me confused until figuring out it was picking up something not relevant to me (especially if it's a 30MPH road and suddenly blurts out theres a Risk Zone / Speed Trap with a 70MPH limit). GPS will also regularly pick up speed cameras on the opposite side of a road which don't actually monitor the side you are travelling, so effectively a useless notification. If you're looking for something with GPS and are going to pay extra, I would not recommend this, especially since for the sub-par job it does, you need to constantly manually update it using your PC/Laptop as opposed to other options. Pros: + Seemingly accurate Radar/Laser detection from a nice range + "High Risk Zone" detection where mobile vans are usually deployed + Free updates Cons: - GPS will often warn of speed cameras on opposite sides of the road - GPS will also give false alerts of speed traps / high risk zones when it's actually on a different road - Updating requires you to remove the unit, plug it into a PC and update using a tool, which is a lot of fiddling to do on the regular Conclusion: I would look at other options that are available at a similar price point. Whilst this is certainly not terrible, besides the radar detector itself every other feature is not great in my own experience. If I had the option to refund, I would likely do so and find something more suitable.

Skyway is not as good as Talex
It's OK but I am very disappointed as well. I previously used a Talex Speed and Red Light camera detector which was perfect in every way. On Holiday I read about the Skyway in a Car Magazine, so bought one on Return as it has Laser etc as well as Geo-location of fixed cameras.. BUT - - big but - - I got so many false alerts that it was driving me mad. Go near a shop doorway and the K band went off. I almost got tagged by a hand held Laser, (but I saw them and checked my speed). However - - I got no no Alert at all and it was pointed at me and followed me all the way by 2 officers. It was 100% on Speed Camera locations but there's one BIG annoying problem. Just like TOM-TOM it goes off and warns if the camera is on the opposite side / other direction. Alert after alert and it's not in my direction... my Talex, which only does fixed camera locations, knows which way I'm travelling and only alerts me in the direction of travel, which makes sense. So come on Aguri - this can be fixed and needs to be done - meanwhile I going back to my Talex until you do.
