I bought my first 'Remington Barba Beard Trimmer' about 10 years ago and it has only stopped working last weekend when I dropped it on the hard bathroom floor. When it finally broke the grading adjustment mechanism had come loose and would no longer adjust. However, up until now the blades have kept their sharpness and the product has never presented a design flaw. I usually just store the shaver in a wash bag with a lot of other grooming equipment but the finish on the shaver has never dented or begun to look used and old. Even the silver coating down the sides has stayed looking pretty much new. On another instance when I had accidently dropped the shaver, one of the ribs from the plastic guard broke. I got on the phone to Remington and customer support sent out a free replacement that arrived within a couple of days. The only other problem I have had is that the battery began to lose its charge about 3 years into ownership so i've had to plug it in at the mains every time but the fact it has lasted about 10 years is incredible. This can be used as a head shaver/ hair cutter and a beard trimmer. I've owned a couple of more expensive clippers like the ones used in salons and the blades for both models lost their sharpness shortly after purchase. As said before not a problem with this product at all. Comparing it with a typical clipper it is much smaller, much easier to use, more accurate with closer grading, and doesn't require the grade guards to be changed. I used to pay about £20 a week to get my hair cut before I owned this and that was a cheap option usually involving trainees. Now I can cut my own hair in a variety of styles within 15 minutes and it costs me nothing. I hate to think what it costs now to get a professional haircut. I used to hate getting it done by someone else anyway, I much prefer doing it myself. So I have gone ahead and ordered another to replace it. This is one of those few products that does everything how it is supposed to and really impresses. I hope they continue to sell this item for years to come.

I don’t have other beard trimmers to compare this to but I think the quality of this one is great. I bought this five years ago and I haven’t looked after it at all. I’ve treated it pretty poorly and neglected to clean it, yet it’s still alive. Albeit I can hear it wanting to die now every time I turn it on. The battery is still going strong and lasts a while. It does a great trim, still cutting well. I find the flip-up trimmer really useful for trimming my moustache and shaping the edge of the beard precisely, I hadn’t realised not a lot of trimmers included this until I started looking for a replacement. Even though it’s still useable, I am contemplating getting another one of these to replace the old one.

I got this on the basis of a review of beard trimmers in the Guardian, this was listed as the best budget buy. The Amazon price was very good. The review mentioned that Remington have been making this model basically unchanged for years. It sits in the hand very easily and being able to change the trim length with the scroll wheel is very handy. It trims well, better than my Phillips trimmer. The only negative is the amount of time it takes to charge. Happy overall.

This is a great beard trimmer for the price. I can't fault it. I am a big fan of Remington products, and I haven't been dissapointed. The fine trimmer is a bit snatchy, so you should be careful with detailing around your lips. But overall, I am very impressed.

If you bought this a few years ago and want a new one, LOOK ELSEWHERE. They've cheapened out this product, it's worthless now. The old model was sturdy, had a good weight to it, and worked well. The new model is noticeably lighter and the blade guard has been redesigned so that it's now weak and flimsy and collapsed while you're shaving! Seriously: I set the guard to a length 7 and as soon as I apply even the slightest pressure, the guard simply collapses back down to a length 1. DO NOT BUY.

Quality item. Cuts through a thick beard like a hot knife through butter and trims the fine edges with ease. Very happy with my purchase. A+.

It worked fine for around 5 years. After that the battery didn't hold much charge and I tried to replace it but it is virtually impossible to get into the battery without destroying the trimmer. Charging is also quite slow, likely due to dated battery chemistry. In terms of grooming ability, it was fine, the build in guard has the tendency to slip if you press too hard which you should watch out for.

Uso questo prodotto da circa sei mesi e posso garantirvi che funziona in maniera perfetta. La rasatura è ottima, nel mio caso la uso come regola barba a circa 5 mm. La cosa che mi piace di più di questo prodotto è che ha il pezzo per regolare la barba integrato con l’apparecchio che può scorrere su e giù in base ai millimetri desiderati. altri prodotti di altri brand che ho avuto non hanno questa funzione ma forniscono separatamente 5,6 o sette pezzi come regola barba e lo trovo scomodissimo. Prezzo imbattibile.

Do tej pory byłem fanem Philips OneBlade, jednak nożyki są bardzo kosztowne. Przy twardym zaroście trzeba je bardzo często wymieniać. Remington bardzo dobrze radzi sobie nawet z twardym zarostem. Dzięki możliwości regulacji długości cięcia, każdy będzie mógł w łatwy sposób zadbać o swoją brodę :) Akumulatorek wystarcza naprawdę na wiele sesji, więc bez obaw! Ładowanie również następuje dosyć szybko.
