I have had this kettle for a week now, so can’t vouch for its reliability. In every other way, however, it is a most satisfying purchase. It performs every function you would ask of a household kettle, pouring well and boiling water speedily and quietly. What is more, it looks the part too, adding a classy touch to the corner of the kitchen in which it resides.

Brilliant kettle Much better than my last one. Light weight, easy flip up large lid. Looks great. Boils fast. Much quieter and faster than my last one that was only 6 months. Great design and I highly recommend.

So far so good, we've only had this kettle for a week, however first impressions are good. It's a solidly built kettle with a good handle and an easy open lid. The pouring spout is very good with a steady manageable flow of water. Our previous kettle had a much heavier flow which meant steam could burn as you stirred the cup. The Andrew James doesn't have this problem. I really like the blue lighting when boiling, it makes it really stand out. I have only a couple of small issues, the level indicator is quite hard to see in behind the handle and makes it difficult to see how much water you are putting in under the tap, I understand why it's there, to improve the look of the kettle, and it's only a minor issue. Also its a little on the noisy side, but again a minor issue. All in all I'm very pleased so far and definitely pleased I bought this particular kettle.

Very good and stylish very happy with product a choice of red to go with my other kitchen items would have been nice but two little niggles A. Lime scale still getting in Cup ill fitting having to use tea strainer as well lime scale getting round sides of filter plus most kettles now have metal gauge on filters not mesh in my opinion way better mesh tend to rip very easy and doesn't last either plus metal easier to descale or at least give customer the option of metal or mesh even if the metal filter costs a little more say a pound

My previous Andrew James Apollo kettle was durable but very well used and getting tatty after 5 years of heavy use. At £20 it didn't owe me anything. So it made sense to stick with what's good and buy this brand again. This is a modern, great looking kettle in grey. It is light wieght and can be used for one or two cups so boils fast, it's quieter than the last one, functions as you would expect with no taste or smell to the water and no leakage from spout. With the power base to sit on it fits nicely in the space of the old one. I'm very happy with the kettle and glad I stayed with the brand and chose the latest model.

Very Happy with my purchase. I researched all the kettles to death on Amazon and believe me there are plenty out there! I eventually came across this particular make by Andrew James and read all the reviews and decided to take the plunge! WOW! I am pleased to say this kettle is the best I have purchased in all the kettles I have ever owned. The quality is superb to say the least. Unlike some customers who complained about the water level view situated adjacent to the handle "would have been better by the side" I think they have nothing better to write so pick on this minor issue (which is not an issue at all). Let me tell you the view to see the water level is SOOO BIG you have to be BLIND not to see it even when there is steam present I can clearly ALWAYS see the water level full STOP! ITS BIG! The kettle is plastic on the outside so easily wiped clean. This Andrew James kettle is cool to touch unlike my previous metal kettle which was always hot on the outside. The on/off switch is just under the handle and nice and big with blue led lighting (nice feature). Inside the kettle is fully metal and no element showing so heating the water quickly and easy to clean inside of any hard water scale build up (TIP:I use citric acid a natural cleaner, since it is better than using those other nasty chemical cleaners). I have not had to clean it yet since it is still relatively new. The plastic sliver lid is cool to touch with a slide button on top part of the handle to open and fill it. Boils the water efficiently but obviously depending on much you need, so more water more time to boil "common sense"! If you want quality then stop wasting time looking at those other cheap kettles or the overpriced ones and buy this one! You will not regret it! By the way in case you are wondering I paid the full price for this product so did not receive any special offer so my OPINION is 100% unbiased! The reason I took time out to write this positive lengthy review is because it is a quality product and well priced and just wanted to share my delight with you so you can save time and do like I did and take the plunge! I have already recommended this kettle to the rest of my family and friends when there old ones dies to buy this model Lumiglo Kettle from Andrew James!

Looks the part, nice big kettle and not too heavy for size but it’s probably going back ! Tested it and Unfortunately as much as the boiling chamber wasn’t too noisy the thing rattled and needed a weight on it to stop it from something in it being irritatingly noisy. Considering keeping it and putting a brick on it every time I boil it ? Maybe not . Sorry disappointed as the noise level was the important factor for me. If that’s not an issue for you then it’s otherwise fine.
