They had to change it when methylfolate became prescription only. When methylfolate became over the counter again, they just left the folic acid in there. **Q: Why would you out folio acid in this product? If someone needs methyl b12 they probably can't breakdown folio acid.** A: Folate is used instead of folic acid in this supplement.
