Arko Shaving Soap in Bowl, Red, 90 gram

My favourite shaving soap! Good creamy lather and has fresh soapy smell too. If you use double sided blades this soap seems to work best.

One of the best shaving soaps I have used, and the price makes it unbeaten. Thick lather that lasts and has unfailingly given me a comfortable shave. I can compare it directly to Cella shaving soap, which is excellent, but I think is just beaten by Arko. Many complain about the fragrance, but I don’t find it that bad. It smells just like the cheap bar soap in my old primary school toilets. The fragrance doesn’t last in my experience, but yours may differ.

For the price it's pretty good. Having it in its own little bowl is convenient. It doesn't lather up as much as some of th expensive soaps I've had in the past, but then again it's nowhere near the same price so there's no comparison in terms of value - this wins hands down. There's no strong fragrance and it looks to me like it will last a pretty long time. I shave every day and it's barely gone down since I bought it. Arko do a range of soap types so if this plain one isn't to your liking you could try one of the others. But for the average wet shaver I think this represents good value for money at a reasonable quality. Not the best I've ever used, but more than good enough for a decent shave and at a very affordable price.

I bought this for it's size, compatible with what is allowed on airline travel. It comes in a sealable tub, so doesn't make a mess. Produces a good lather with a decent shaving brush and gives a nice smooth shave. Curious scent, not unpleasant, maybe think old fashioned barber shop. Its so inexpensive that you could bin it after use and it would still be good value.

For several years, I've used the generic blue/black pot shaving soap from supermarkets. While this is out of stock, i tried the Arko which is a little more expensive. It lathers up better, and it is a rich creamy lather. The razor blade slides nicely across the skin. It works better than the cheap supermarket stuff, and does not clog up your razor with residue like the alternative that comes in toothpaste-style tubes. The scent is not offensive. I am fussier than most about strong cosmetic/hygiene product scents, but this doesn't set me off. I'm not sure this will last as long as the cheap stuff, but at a few pence a shave that is neither here nor there. A nice touch is the tub has a screw threaded lid which means you can close it, wipe the outside, and take it in an overnight bag. Overall, a good product at a fair price.

A victim of pomp and marketing, I would typically purchase more expensive shaving soaps to fit in my silver shaving bowl. Somewhere, I had read about Arko and figured I'd give it a try. Why not? It is about 7 quid, 1/3 the price of some of the other ones I would try. I am a lawyer and when I grow facial hair, there's an unpleasant fortnight that I look like my clients. After the fortnight, I look like a pirate. As such, I try to keep my face whisker free. I shave 4-5 times a week, giving my face a very good lather with soap. I don't alternate soaps, I use one until it's expired. There was a brief 4 week holiday that I used shaving cream, because I was overseas and didn't bring my safety razor etc. That said, apart from a 4 week hiatus, I have used this product 4-5 times a week since July 2014. It is now March 2016 and I'm not even 2/3 done with this shaving soap, which came with its own bowl. This is lasting forever. I like it. Good value, I like the smell and it gives one of the best lathers I have ever had. The lather is incredible lads, it's thick and well lubricated. It doesn't take too much of a swish with your brush. This truly does outperform or, at minimal, equal the much more expensive soaps that I have tried. I won't be deviating from Arko now.

Kokusu, kıvamı, sert şehir suyuyla bile verimli kullanılabilmesi ve çok uzun süre dayanması benzerleri arasında sivrilmesini sağlıyor. Plastik kutudaki yassı sabunun folyodaki çubuk sabundan biraz daha maliyetli olduğunu hatırlatayım. Gramajı biraz daha fazla ama fiyat farkının çoğu kutuya veriliyor. Evde kullanacaksanız çubuk sabun alınıp kaseye basılabilir. Bu kutu da seyahat için, veya başka kase kullanılmayacaksa daha uygun diye düşünüyorum. Keyifli tıraşlar, sağlıklı günler dilerim.

I purchased this again not because I needed more but because of the tremendous price at the time. This soap is never out of my rotation, it is an absolute pleasure to use. One of its best features is it is tallow based, which makes it super slick and cushioning. The scent however seems to polarise people. Various descriptions like "Industrialised lemon" and others that are unflattering to say the least, are bandied around and so probably stop some from purchasing. My advice is to wait for a low price and give it a whirl and see. The shaving stick is 75g and the puck is 90g in a rather nifty red bowl. The bowl fits within the palm of the hand. This soap is easy to lather either on the face or in a bowl, the soapy-lemony scent isn't long lasting and doesn't interfere with my colognes etc. It's an all round budget beating marvel, who's performance you can rely on.

Ik kocht deze omdat het een naam had op de scheerfora als goed en goedkoop. Vooral de staafjes zijn voor een lage prijs te verkrijgen dus als hij goed en fijn is voor je zou je voordelig klaar zijn voor wat betreft je scheerzeep. Ik koos eerst voor deze variant in doosje vanwege het gebruiksgemak (opbergen, vervoer, geur afsluiten). Voor mij bleek het niet echt super te zijn. Het scheren gaat opzich wel redelijk maar nadien blijft je huid droog achter. De geur is niet zo lekker, misschien went het of vervaagt het, maar zo vaak heb ik het niet meer gebruikt. Had ook het idee dat mijn huid met irritaties kampte nadien die ik bij andere zepen niet ervaar. Al met al niet verfijnd. Mitchell's Woolfat is een stuk duurder maar voor mij het fijnst. Speick is ook ok. Dan betaal ik toch liever meer voor een betere ervaring.

It's got a great logo, first of all. Let's not gloss over THAT. That foamed-up dude is a joy! The price is good, the lathering is excellent. I would love to see the pucks in a paper box instead of the plastic, since I already have a shaving cup. That's the only minor "complaint" I have. I am definitely going to try the sticks. The reason I wanted to try just the one puck first was all this talk about the "pee puck" smell. I have to say that it smells like plain Ivory type soap to me, if anything. The scent is mild and it just smells like soap. Are the sticks different? Maybe but I suspect this is just a matter of some people smelling it one way and others smelling it differently. I don't mean using their noses differently just that some notice some aromas more than others. OK I guess what I am REALLY saying is that I have found a new quality brand of normal shaving soap and I admit that I am a bit disappointed that it DOESN'T smell like a pee puck. At least a bit. El jabón es muy bueno, a mi el olor en el bote me huele un poco intenso pero en cara no noto fragancia. Uso maquinilla clásica regulable y a mi al menos me va bien, comparado con líneas Lea y Proraso. Hace muchísima espuma, yo con 10 pasadas de brocha sobre el jabón hago espuma para el afeitado y me sobra casi la mitad.
