These are perfect for supporting vehicles with, please read the entire review.
Amazing axle stands, I now own two sets of these and it has been around 7 years since buying the original set and now my second set I've noticed the price has risen over 100%, from the £18.84 to now £47.34. They are solid and work perfectly for supporting your vehicle so you can safely work under it. If you need rubber pads for supporting painted surfaces like your subframe you can buy a set of pads from ebay from the company Rubber Adaptors Ltd - "Rubber Protection Pads for your Silverline 763620 Axle Stands 3 Tonne - Set of 2" is the item name, they fit perfectly and are ideal for supporting the subframe when you're lifting either the front of rear subframe, they are very high quality and i'd recommend them as they are made to fit this item perfectly. I stupidly modified my first set of these stands by grinding the pillar to thin it out to use pinch weld pads before finding a company that sold a reinforced pinch weld pad that worked for my sgs 3 tonne low profile trolley jack, so i've just bought this second set and after having the originals for 7 years they have rusted a little but it's mainly on the feet and on the pillar near the very top. I advise you to apple lithium grease to the hinge pin to make these a little less noisy and to prolong the life of them for many years to come, it's not 100% needed but I thought it would be beneficial as in wet conditions you don't want the hinge pin to rust and become stiff. I would highly recommend this item over others as they have never failed me when supporting multiple cars, I will buy a third set at some point in the near future so i can recycle my first modified set that is at risk as you should never modify the pillar to thin it out as it compromises the lifting capacity and its structural integrity. I've supported both my personal vehicles - a 1995 peugeot 205 1.6 automatic (XL hatchback), 2012 kia ceed 1.6 crdi (ED d4fb hatchback), and my mothers 2017 vauxhall astra 2.0 (K estate sports tourer) with these without issue.

Done the job, no fuss, superb.
Well, Silverline 3 tonne axle stands, let's face it, Silverline aren't exactly regarded as one of the best brands you can buy. I looked at the reviews and considered the competition, and to be honest, they all looked the same! I felt it was a bit of a gamble, putting myself under the car whilst these were going to hold it up, but here I am to tell the story! I slowly jacked up the rear my Ford Focus Estate, found a good spot for these under the car, got them to the right height, then even more slowly, lowered the jack and let these take the weight. Not a creak or moan from these, I can't say the same for the car! Once I had been under for a short time I felt fully confident with these. I had to get a hacksaw to my rear roll bar droplinks to get the new ones on, these took it all in their stride. I can wholeheartedly recommend these!

Solid axle stands, perfect for the price
I recently picked up the Silverline Axle Stand Set (2 pieces, 3 Tonne), and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with them! Right out of the box, they feel sturdy and well-built, which gives me confidence when I’m working under the car. The adjustable height feature is super handy; I was able to set them to just the right level for my vehicle without any hassle. Using the stands while changing my oil felt safe, and I really appreciated the rubber feet, which help keep them stable on my garage floor. I’ve tried other stands in the past that seemed a bit flimsy, but these definitely feel like they can handle the weight. One thing I’d recommend is making sure you always double-check everything before crawling under the vehicle—safety first! But overall, for anyone looking for reliable axle stands that won't break the bank, this set from Silverline is a great option. Thumbs up from me!

Excellent Stands & Suitable Rubber Pads
Bought these earlier this year to replace my old stands. I prefer these because I only need to stretch one arm under the car to locate and raise them rather than both arms needed for the old stands where you had to raise the pad with one hand and push a pin in with the other hand. Much safer should something go wrong! Have used them on my 2 cars on a couple of occasions up to now. Very pleased. Rubber pads: after a couple of purchases I found these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B075DL6QHH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 which seem to fit perfectly. They are sold singly and not in pairs. There are 3 types on the page, make sure you get the larger BGS 3016-9. Pictures attached. HTH

Great buy
These axle stands are well made for their price of £19.09 (with free postage from my seller). They each have a load limit of 3 metric tonnes (3,000 Kg) which is more than enough for most domestic car light van users. They have a minimum height of 285mm and a maximum height of 420mm with eight equally spaced intermediate heights (with approx. 1.6 cm spacing between each of them). They weigh 3.25 Kg each and the ratchet handle makes a convenient handle to carry them. The saddle is 7cm wide. I should've bought these years ago rather than soldier on with my very old tripod type stands. Used them recently to replace rear brake calipers on my car and felt confident with the car just hovering above them on the trolley jack.
