left hand drill bit worked perfectly, managed to drill in to a stud that had snapped ca 10mm inside the head of my engine. As soon as it bit the stud span out with little swarf and no need for the extractor on this occassion. This made a tricky and time consuming job quick and simple.

UPDATE - I have removed this to now remove a second stripped screw. Some tips:* When using the set, use the size smaller 'brass coloured' drill bit to make a deep hole - get most of the way through the screw head.* Use the drill on its highest powered setting with no hammer action. Just don't go beyond the screw head.* Use the next size 'grey' screw extractor. DO NOT use this with a drill - hand tools only.* Push down firmly while rotating the screwdriver holding the extractor anti-clockwise. The aim of the game here is to make the screw budge a few millimetres. It may take a few minutes.* Once you have it moving, reset your grip and the extractor and try again. Eventually it will be moving more freely.* Once you have enough of the screw head exposed, use some pliers to grab the screw head and rotate anti-clockwise to finish the job.* Most importantly, swear profoundly at the screw you have just removed, and whoever stripped it in the first place and chuck that screw in the bin, never to be seen again.This, when used slowly, was able to remove a broken screw from my IKEA office chair. It was just out of its warranty, and using this meant I could replace the screw rather than buying a new chair.It works, so if you have a broken recessed screw, give it a go and see if it works for you.

Product does what it says on the tin - drills not commonly available in UK and I fell into the trap ordering these but not realising they come from the USA . Taxes virtually double the cost (Thanks Royal Mail for your ridiculous handling charges!) but the seller was willing to refund the taxes as their ad failed to mention their locationAs far as useability is concerned - tip - go easy and try warming up the area you are drilling with a torch or hot air gun before drilling / extracting your screw or stud (slowly slowly catchy monkey!)

Two drills snapped on first use. I'm not sure what they are supposed to be made of, but they are brittle and made no impression on some standard wood screws. The extractors are also blunt and ineffective. The metal box design is very poor, the smaller drills drop out and become wedged.This is a cheap and very poor product.

They work fantastically, i needed to remove the rotor retaining bolt with a sheared head from my car and these worked a treat at boring out a hole and removing the bolts.highly recommended.

The drill bits are all cut at the wrong angle so have negative cut (back edge higher than cutting edge) the fluting is designed to remove swarf but with the cutting edge as is, wont cut at all. So suggest sharpening with a bench grinder if you have one.Also the drill bits are NOT cobalt as suggested, they're steel with a titanium coating. So they are not designed to cut stainless steel even if they were sharpened correctly.The extractors are also steel with a titanium coating.
