We've tried so hard to get equality with men that we've left some of our femininity behind. I know before I read this book I didn't even have a single dress. The book gives an eye opening view into how men think and what they want. (maybe not all of them, but I would say quite a few of them) I know when I started following her advice my husband that was, as I called him, a 99% good husband, was a lot happier. When the house was clean and the food on the table when he got home he was happier (and more effective with his jobs when he was away from home because he wasn't' constantly worried about things at home) His productivity has gone up and he is bringing more money home. I also think our son is happier and the house is running a lot smoother.When I was taking care of the bills I was so stressed out and worried I was having anxiety attacks. Once I trusted my husband and turned the finances over to him (it was extremely hard but I forced myself to do it) I still had anxiety for a few months until I saw that nothing bad was going to happen and he could take care of it. I'm happier not having to worry about it and I think he's happier too.In conclusion I agree with a lot of what is in this book but I qualify it with---make sure you have a man worth keeping before you knock yourself out trying to put anything in this book into practice. If your husband is a wife beating drunk (like some of the stories in the book) move on! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great book *by S***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 15 November 2013* I found her advice very interesting, she gives a unique take on relationships - and it is clear that she was happily married for over 60 years! Some might find the advice challenging, since it resembles 1950's household relationships, but I still think it has wise advice to offer.One of the key things is to accept your partner just as he is - don't try and change him. It made me think that I had grown up with a mother where no-one stood up to her high standards and I was replicating the same! Accepting your partner and their own decisions about their lives, left me free to stay in love with the man I met without sissifying him.Not everyone will enjoy this book - but I did. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Condition is excellent *by S***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 23 February 2021* Bought it for the wife and she is enjoying it.
