SureFire Handheld LED Flashlight - 6PX Tactical 600 Lumens 8,700 Candela

I've owned a lot of flashlights over the years, and the SureFire 6PX Tactical is one of my favorites. It's compact, durable, and puts out an impressive amount of light for its size. The beam has a great balance of throw and usable spill, making it effective whether you're using it around the house, in the shop, or outdoors. The build quality is exactly what I'd expect from SureFire. The aluminum body feels rugged and well-made, and the flashlight is lightweight enough to carry comfortably without feeling flimsy. The tailcap switch is simple and reliable, which is something I appreciate in a tactical-style light. What stands out most is the dependability. It works every time, the output is excellent, and it feels like a tool that's built to last. Pros: Bright, focused beam Rugged, high-quality construction Lightweight and easy to carry Simple, reliable operation Excellent overall performance Cons: None so far Overall: I absolutely love this flashlight. It's dependable, extremely well-built, and worth the investment if you're looking for a high-quality tactical light. Highly recommended.

Not the cheapest on the market but you get what you pay for, quality and reliability! Whats the point in buying a super bright knock-off that you'll never know if it is going to work when you go to use it. I do not feel that way about this product, I have full confidence in it. The engagement of the light is different from what I was use to. It doesn't "click" like a traditional light, rather it uses a pressure on the body of the cap to activate the light, which you can adjust to be from a slight touch to a significant push by simply twisting the end cap. Also, you can twist it for a full time on or full time off - a point when it will not engage even with pressure to prevent battery drain. At 1st I perceived the switch as a con, but after owning the light for a while now I no longer have an issue with the cap. The light itself is very dense and bright... almost violently bright. The light is a "warm" (yellow) white beam and very clear - Cuts through haze and light fog much better that the "cool" (blueish) white beams do. I mounted on a Rem 870 12g shotgun with a barrel mount and shot 2 boxes of heavy games and one box of 00 buck as a part of my durability test and it never once even flickered. If you were going to use this light in that fashion I would have no doubts in its ability.

This is a review of the "tactical", single mode flashlight. I owned one of the original, classic incandescent Surefire 6Ps lights, and wanted an LED version. For some reason my old 60 lumen incandescent version was worth a lot of money (I guess people collect them?) so I flipped it on an auction site and bought this as a far superior replacement. There are a lot of Chinese-made LED lights out there and I'm sure they're "OK" and some are "good". I own a few myself. But most of them suffer from needless complexity, clicking the tail switch multiple times to toggle between settings. That's not what I needed in a light that sits on my bedside table. The 6PX tactical is the perfect blend of simplicity (single mode), readiness (CR123 batteries), American manufacturing and guarantee, pocketable size, brightness, and run time. If I have a problem that I can't fix with 600 lumens and 1.5 hours run time, then I'm probably in a power outage and need to switch to other long-term / backup illumination like candles, lanterns and various old flashlights around the house. But this is the ideal "primary" emergency light.

This is an awesome flashlight. When I first turned it on it did not seem that much brighter than my other flashlight, which is about 160 lumens, but when I tested it outside I could tell the difference. Indoors this light is not blinding, but I can not stand to look into the reflection of the light too long; outdoors, this light provided the depth I need to see and identify things about 100 feet away. I have not tested it any farther than that, and I could use something even a little brighter, but then it would not be so suitable for indoor use as well. It has nice weight and a solid body. The button to operate the flashlight seemed a bit finicky, but I learned the key to solving this is to turn the tail cap just enough so that the light is no longer constant on, then the temporary switch works just fine.

I bought this along with the Arisaka Key-Mod flashlight mount to put on my AR-15. The light is very bright, and the housing is extremely thick solid aluminum. An important note is that it is the push button on the cap only turns the light on while you're pressing the button. This is one of the defining features of a weapon light, and it allows you to use quick bursts of light. If you desire to have the light on for extended periods of time, you can twist the cap down all the way and the light will stay on. Overall great light, and it's designed to be a weapon light (hence the use of the word "tactical" in the name).

It’s a great product and with excellent quality. I received it very quickly. I bought this product to replace the current product I’m using in the same category and I must say that it definitely does the job better than I ever would’ve thought. Packaging, materials are all top notch and above my exceptions. I found this product by accident and decided to give it a shot and I couldn’t be happier. It’s lightweight and durable. I don’t believe I will be switching products anytime soon. If you’re contemplating on buying this product I’d definitely give it a shot, I don’t think you will be disappointed!

this is one bright light .... got the "tactical" because after reading a few reviews on it's durability, I assumed it would be perfect on a 5.56 or 7.62 platform .... when I got it and went to open it, I found in very, very tiny print along the edge ... "not for weapons mounting" , or something to that effect. Evidently the 'tactical" are not "weapons grade" ... and those are considerably more, thus the 4 stars instead of 5 .... If it as sturdy as many other buyers claim, then I think for home defense purposes it will be fine, as long as it's removed prior to range practice. I may get the push button version because the "steady on" twisting of the base takes longer than a quick double-click. As for casual shop/home use, we'll see how it compares to the tried and true MagLite .... Made In U.S.A. .... SEALED THE DEAL.

I have to admit I never spent this much on a flashlight, but I wanted to upgrade some of my equipment so I put down the bucks. First, Amazon shipped my order quick and I received it in record time. The order was packed well and arrived without damage. The light feels solid and the beam is very bright. Probably the most important fact about this flashlight is the quality of light. You get a complete bright, uninterrupted field of light from this flashlight. I hadn't noticed it before with my cheaper light, but I put this light side by side with one of my other good, but cheaper lights and there is no comparison. If you want the best, then buy the Surefire.
