Great for us
Installed this as a pre-amp on the wall in a pub to give control of mic and music for things like quiz night to the host, its been flawless and is a great little bit of kit, we have no need of the equalizier or any of that, but having independent volume for the mic and line is all we wanted, it really has boosted the audio quality overall and works for what we needed perfectly, cheap and a very quick easy fix.

Top Notch Little Mixer
I bought this mixer to record cassette tapes and records on to my PC so my review is essentially to do with just that. The mixer's power supply comes via USB from the PC or you can use the USB adapter also supplied to use power from the mains socket. Well before I go on any further, this mixer works brilliantly. I connected my record turntable [Bush MTT1...it has a built in pre-amp... very necessary] to the phono inputs on the mixer marked "2-TRACK" and then connected the "MAIN MIX" phono outs to the line-in on the PC. I use Magix Audio Cleaning Lab software on the PC. The recordings are top quality.Recordings via the "LINE" input are also excellent... you can use the EQ if needed to good effect plus the Pan facility. I prefer the "2-TRACK" input as it bypasses the EQ. I have not used the Mic In with a phantom powered mic but can confirm that it is excellent with a dynamic mic... I use the Shure PG57.The XLR input also doubles as a 1/4" jack input too! The recordings are clean and clear and their is a very good low and high EQ with panning on this input. You have total control of volumes from all inputs which is basically what a mixer is all about. You can route your mix via head phones or the main mix. This unit is very well made and has a solid feel to it especially the XLR and phono inputs. The mixer has many uses and I can totally recommend it... it also takes up hardly any space on your already crowded desktop! As a footnote there is no way that I am parting company with my cassette or vinyl collection... it's simply fun to be able to copy them if needed for whatever purpose.

A Compact Audio Powerhouse. Sound quality okay. Fantastic controls and ease of use.
[Sound Quality] The Behringer XENYX 302USB mixer delivers an okay, though not exceptional, sound quality. While it's perfect for podcasting, basic recording, or live streaming, audiophiles might find it lacking in depth and clarity. However, for its size and price, it does the job adequately. [Design] This mixer is incredibly easy to use, making it a great choice for beginners and those who want a hassle-free setup. The controls are intuitively laid out, and the inclusion of sliders for volume and mixing adds to its user-friendliness. You'll be up and running in no time, even if you're new to audio mixing. [Controls] One of the standout features of the XENYX 302USB is its volume and mixing controls. The sliders are smooth and responsive, allowing for precise adjustments. Whether you're adjusting microphone levels, blending audio sources, or fine-tuning your sound, these controls make the process a breeze. [USB/Audio Interface Compatibility] The built-in USB audio interface is a handy addition, making this mixer compatible with both PC and Mac systems. It simplifies recording and playback processes, and the quality is more than sufficient for most casual users. It's a versatile feature that expands the mixer's functionality. In summary, the Behringer XENYX 302USB is a compact and user-friendly mixer that offers decent sound quality for its price. Its ease of use and responsive controls make it an excellent choice for beginners and those seeking a simple audio solution. While it may not satisfy audiophiles looking for top-tier sound, its versatility and USB interface compatibility make it a solid performer for various audio needs. Unfortunately I returned mine as I was looking for better audio quality with less noise. But I do slightly regret doing so as it is very useful.

Very Good Value for Money
I needed to be able to transfer a gramophone record to a digital format for a friend who no longer has a record player. Unfortunately the record is long deleted from Decca's catalogue. I purchased this mixer and it worked like a charm. I paired it with Audacity which is a stunning piece of software. At first I could only record the sound from the laptop's built in microphone. Then I found the Recording Device option under the Audio Setup option on the top bar of the Audacity display. This gave me the record player but at low volume and then I noticed that the recording gain in Audacity is a slider superimposed on the recording level display and sliding this to about -6dB gave me a good clean sound. Audacity makes it easy to export FlAC or MP3 files etc. and even Microsoft WAV. Use the 2-track input on the Xenyx 302 and it bypasses the equaliser and other gain controls. It is powered off the USB port but comes with a power supply in a separate box which is where you will find the USB cord (standard USB not USB-c). All you will need then is and RCA stereo lead from your phono pre=amp. An excellent product which doesn't need any extra drivers.. My PC is running Windows 11 Pro.

Good sound, poor build quality (leading to product failure).
Initially the product was fine, and ran well on both my condenser mic (with separate 48v phantom power) and also with a cheap behringer XM8500 dynamic mic (which to be honest sounded very good considering the price for the mic & this mixer) I got about two weeks worth of use from it before a hissing noise crept in, and gradually got worse over a day or two before becoming unbearable. The hissing can be heard from the unit regardless of which mic is connected (and even with no mic connected). It shows up in all recordings and can also be heard through headphones directly connected to the unit. If it had been a few months down the line and outside the possibility of an easy return I would definitely have opened it for a look inside, but at present I am able to return the unit for a refund so alas I cannot. All in all, it's a good enough unit for £40, but the build quality is clearly lacking and in my case appears to have caused failure in less than a month, so I have had to return this unit. If you do your research and set yourself up correctly then this unit may be worth taking a punt on.

Fantastic little mixer with built in USB sound card. Perfect as a backup
This is a fab little mixer with a built-in USB sound card. It can also be powered via the USB port so can be powered either from a laptop or with a USB phone charger. Powering it via the laptop has a couple of advantages in a live situation: 1: The USB sound card eliminates the power supply noise that can often come through a laptop's headphone socket. 2: In the event of a power failure (which might be caused by a venue's noise limiter for example), the mixer continues to be powered from the laptop's battery and therefore doesn't cause nasty pops through the connected speakers, and also means the laptop doesn't get confused by suddenly losing sight of its sound card. The sound that comes through it is nice and clear without any appreciable noise or hiss being introduced. I bought it as a backup, in which capacity it hasn't been needed as yet, but I have used it for a small PA set up with a pair of active speakers, a phone for music and a wireless microphone receiver. It performed faultlessly and sounded great.

Surprising quality
Ok it's not like a fully spec mixer but, for me anyway, that's not what I needed or required. I just wanted a bit of kit that would allow me to have a separate output to my speaker monitors and / or headphones in the studio that didn't take up to much space, but the most important thing was to have a very high quality.... This little box of goodies does all that in spades plus it's USB connection allows two way communication to the PC, so you could record and monitor direct to your computer. To the casual user that needed to do pod casting or recording to a DAW, setting up this is easy and I would suggest just taking a chance on the buy and playing with it .. easy and won't take long to master the controls. My use is in a private studio, and I don't use this for recording as I already have a pro 10/10 sound card. But this can take a Mic in / line in / two track monitor/ and line out, there is a red button that when pushed 'in' will allow the USB through or if 'out' will allow your 'line in' to be heard. Another button allows monitoring to H/pones or speakers, and yet another button when activated allows the two track i/p to be monitored. Volume pots and L/R sliders allow total control of what your hearing completes the magic. As said there are limitations with something that has this kind of price tag, but for most folk they'd be very hard to find ... I give it thumbs up !

Great small mixer
The best thing about the Behringer 302USB Xenyx 5 Input Mixer is the small, compact size. For those who do not have a large desk this unit is ideal but just because it is small does not mean it is of a low quality, when it comes to sound, my speakers have never sounded so good. It has plenty of inputs for what I use it for so no complaints there, I have a Behringer XM8500 Ultravoice Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone on order which will be connected to this mixer when it arrives just to improve on the sound quality of the cheap mic I am using at the moment. One picture shows the size of the unit compared to a jack plug adapter, and the other photo shows it in place on my workstation desk. All in all, I have nothing negative to say about this mixer and would happily recommend it to anyone who just wants a compact, relatively inexpensive unit.

Excellent mixer
I've been a minimalist for about 10 years when it comes to recording music and have been recording with my instruments connected to my PC mic input with my instrument cable and a 1/8" adapter, but it was always a hassle for me to get it sounding professional through mixing and editing. This mixer doesn't have that many frills, but it is exactly what I needed to streamline the recording process. It is powered by USB or the included AC adapter, and even has enough power for phantom powered microphones, which is perfect for my compression mic. The instrument cable and microphone XLR input are in the same place, so you can only use one at a time, but it's great for a one man band with one-by-one multitrack recording methods. There are bass, treble and pan bars for both channels, but I've only ever used the main channel and haven't tried using the line out as of yet. The sound is excellent and crystal clear once you get it completely set up. This mixer is pretty basic, and you won't find a lot of fancy features. But if you're looking to make professional sounding recordings, with some practice and tinkering, this is perfect. Having this, I really have no need for any other recording equipment besides my PC and some mulitrack software. The price is amazing for making the dream of turning my bedroom into a recording studio come true. I'm not sure how this would fare with live performances because you would have to do some rigging to run multiple instruments through it and it might be a hassle, but I think it's perfect for home recording. As a few other reviewers mentioned, you really need to go to the Behringer website and download the drivers for this mixer. It will clear up the hiss and buzz that you hear when you record with it straight out of the box, and it makes all the difference in the world quality wise. I use Audacity with ASIO plugins to record my audio, which requires me to crank up the volume and gain a lot to get the sound to a good level, but after some tinkering, you'll get very clear sound with no audible buzz or hiss, even using a microphone.

LINE/USBのFROMボタンで切替。
