I bought these for my cat who is around five years and is cuddly, buuut also bites and scratches people if she gets anxious. She had an owner before us, and there might have been some mistreatment in her past as certain sounds, phrases or actions scare her. Naturally we tried to change some things in the house so it's easier for her, but you can't always help things in the neighbourhood, so I bought these to lower her anxiety. I didn't think it would have a huge effect but maybe she wouldn't jump at so many things or she'll settle down sooner. I read a lot of reviews praising the product, and I'm glad that it worked with other families and other cats! As for my one though, the cat treats had an almost opposite effect. She was slightly wary about it at first, and licked it before sleeping outside, but she did eat it later. She has other treats which she prefers more, but she was willing to give it a go and I don't think she hated the taste. However because it's meant to have a calming effect, it freaked her out a little (she objects to catnip too). So a few hours after she tried it, she was just noticeably annoyed and isolated herself, she also ignored the later treat in her bowl completely, but accepted an apologetic (different) treat before I went to bed. I still have an almost full packet left but they might be more suited to a different kitty. My friend might be moving abroad (closer) and she has two cats who object to travelling and new homes, so they might appreciate them a little more.

Total waste of money, and like many other reviews have confirmed, my cat also wouldn't touch them. They have no pleasant scent like dreamies do and anything appealing about them. I tried several times to get my cat to eat them but he totally refused. We purchased in preparation to moving. I have a rescue cat who gets very nervous and hates change. We wanted to purchase to help make him comfortable in his new home. We purchased this as well as a plug in and refill and I can honestly say they were all a total waste of money, and ineffective. Anyone moving home with a pet, the best advice I can give you is to take some time off work and spend quality time with your pet. Get his/her favourite treats and give them plenty. Make sure all of his/her personal items (bed, toys & cat tree etc ) are ready and waiting for them. Do NOT purchase new items (bed/litter tray) immediately as it won't have their scent on it, which will make the adjustment harder. I spent three solid days (not leaving the property at all) with my cat dishing out his favourite treats generously. He was immediately pleased to see his belongings already waiting for him. He spent his whole time settling in by my side. Calming treats and the plug in made no scrap of difference and I wasted nearly £30 purchasing them. Don't make the same mistake I did!

In March 2019 I paid £2.39 as an Amazon add-on product (meaning my minimum Amazon spend has to be £20) for these “Beaphar Calming Cat Treats, 35 g” I have 3 young indoor cats approx 1-2 years old but none of them are even remotely interested in trying it. £4.78 wasted as I bought 2 packs. I’ve tried on a few occasions just in case they change their mind, but no. All three cats are used to eating a variety of dry food (of various brands, flavours & shapes) so it’s not that they are fussy. It may be palatable for other cats, but unfortunately I cannot recommend and obviously wouldn’t buy again.

The cat I have now is a rescure, she is a darling, she came from a place where she had been very neglected and badly treated. She had never asted cat treats before and found she loved them. But she is very shy and nervous, slightest thing in the first week and she was behind the sofa. go to touch her and she would flinch and bolt for cover, so I thought I would try her on these but she won't even try one, a sniff and it was no way, so maybe the smell put her off, I tried crumbling one into her wet meal but she would not eat it, I then tried adding a couple to her dry food, but it was left...so they went into the bin.... wish they had worked

I have used these for nearly 2 years my stresshead female loved them and they worked, we moved house, built an extension introduced a new cat all using these treats, she would beg for them and devoured them I have them on repeat delivery and the latest batch to arrive she won't touch, even mixed up with Dreamies (she preferred them to Dreamies !) so something has changed in them, I get 2 bags at a time and tried both bags she won't even entertain them :-(

It helped our cat, however I'd suggest drops as well, which I couldn't get for a reasonable price from Amazon, but have tried it before. Cat knows when as he didn't want them later. (Give it few days). At first it'll make him calmer than usual, behaviour will change in few days or week/s. Just follow instructions on packaging. In our case eliminated his toileting disorder as he got stressed from foxes and other cats coming to our door at night etc.

They work like a charm, one or two after dinner when the cats are kept in for the night, one or two of these very tasty nuts is enough to calm them down and get used to being in close proximity to each other. We have two cats: one five year old black neutered Tom cat and a little 18month old kitten-cat who is into everything and likes to help us do chores ;- viz: helping to clean out the litter trays, and do the weeding in the garden. she is constantly on the move - exhausting! He is not too fond of this as she seems to get all the attention - which he shunned for five years He only loved us when there is a chance of food etc The aggression is now abating and he now tolerates her to be close to him, and this is all down to Beaphar treats

Not convinced these work in the way I hoped...hasn't stopped my little cat being terrified of my big cat...I gave them to the big cat too...also hasn't helped stop little one licking his fur off...guess it's back to the vet for more medication at £90 a pop :-(

J'avais pris ses friandises pour mon chat stressé mais ils ne les aiment pas. Mon deuxième chat les aiment mais ils n' en a pas besoin. Apparemment sa fait effet car il est tout cool après. Dommage pour mon premier chat j'utilise le spay calmant du cou.
