(6 Months after purchase)** A: I wear this watch every day and every where and have worn many G-Shocks over the years - I normally get about 6 to 8 years out of every G-Shock before I need to change battery - so I have no idea. **Q: What is the strap made from** A: Both the case and the strap material of the Casio G-Shock watch is Resin. **Q: Is strap replacable? Is it smooth or knobbly? (I don't want something that will irritate my easily-irritated wrist skin!)** A: Their are sites that sell the replacement straps for Casio, but rare you will need to. KNOBBLY or more accurately ridged. Strap is Silicon rubber so sweat, the same as metal is the most irritant factor. Perfect! *by D***Y on 2 February 2018* I deliberated over this and a couple of other G-Shock watches because of the comments regarding the ability to read the negative display. I love the look of it, chunky and rugged, ideal as an every day watch. As for the negative display I can't deny that in some lighting conditions it is more difficult to read than the conventional style display but not too difficult that I can't live with it. The dual LED lights more than make up for it in complete darkness because they can be set to automatically illuminate when you turn your wrist towards you. If you're looking for a big watch this won't disappoint that said it looks just right on my 7 3/4" wrist. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it! *by S***G on 15 May 2020* I love this watch.I was a bit worried before buying, for a couple of reasons.Firstly the reviews that mention the display is difficult to read.Secondly, that the Amazon product description seemed to suggest this design was aimed at ‘young skateboarders’ - I am neither young, nor a skateboarder (and have no intention of trying!)So, I have had no difficulty reading the display, and have used it inside, outside, dark and bright sun, I found no problem at all with the display.Secondly, the description on other sites, including Casio’s own G Shock page indicates this is more military in feel and look - and I agree.As with all G Shock models, it is robust and feels nice and substantial on the wrist- but without feeling overly bulky.I have a few G Shock watches - And I’m so pleased I got this one to add to the collection.
