This clock is great for night use. The display is large enough to read from a good distance & the red color not only doesn't illuminati everything around it like a beacon, it's easy on the eyes -- doesn't hurt to look @ or immediately wake you up. There is actual science behind using red light @ night -- whether in nightlights or clocks -- that effects your eyes, wakefulness, & even mood! "These cells... "If you want to have a clock immediately readable at all times... use a clock that emits red light." -Tracy Bedrosian, PhD The display can also be dimmed if you like to keep it closer to the bed. It's easily programmable to the time & alarm. The snooze is a sleek flat surface (the entire top of the clock, in fact!) -- no actual "button" to gather dust or finger grime over time. Easy to clean. The clock itself being black also makes it a great nighttime device; the light of the display doesn't reflect off of the surrounding plastic. The entire thing being an oval in shape makes it more modern in appearance than other more rectangular clocks, or even rectangular clocks with rounded corners. I do not use the alarm, nor have I ever tested the alarm feature on this clock as I use my cellphone as an "alarm clock". Therefore I cannot attest to it's accuracy or volume. I highly recommend this clock for anyone's nighttime clock. I also have it's counterpart: the white clock with white numbers (I use it in the living room where it's typically bright & since I'm not sleeping in there, red & black are unnecessary).

This little clock is adorable! My daughter instantly loved the pink color and rainbow numbers. It was super simple to set up, even for her. One of our favorite features is the adjustable brightness — she’s really picky about light at night, and even on the lowest setting, it’s easy to read without being too bright. Great size for a nightstand and love the added USB charging port. Definitely a win for any kid’s room!

I love this little alarm clock! And customer service was fantastic. The clock goes from very bright to fully dimmable (no red light showing at all) with an easy slide switch, so it's great for our baby's room (no more putting a wash cloth over the clock to hide the light!) I gave it a 4 star only because when the clock first arrived, I plugged it in without batteries - and it didn't keep time and the alarm kept turning itself on every 12 hours - but I contacted customer service for a return and they were super helpful. She told me she would gladly take the return, even though it had been months since I bought it (I just hadn't gotten around to using the clock right after I purchased it) - but she asked me to first try to install the battery. My thinking was that it should work without the battery, but to humor her, I put a battery in, plugged it back in, then took the battery out. I don't know why, but it started working perfectly (it's been a few weeks now). I didn't contact customer service again since it started to work, but she emailed me a week later to check in and ask if it was working or if I wanted to return it. Great follow-up. I love tha the snooze "button" is just touching the top anywhere. I would probably prefer the alarm on/off button to be a slide switch instead of a push button (I accidentally set it to "on" in the dark one time - but now I just remember to check to see if the alarm symbol is lit up). Otherwise, very easy to use. Overall great clock, great price, great customer service.

I bought this clock for two reasons - fully adjustable display brightness and capability to plug in a cell phone for charging. The display size and brightness are perfect for me, but I’m not able to charge my iPhone 15 using this unit. Anytime I had it plugged in to charge, after about 15 minutes, the clock would power down momentarily and reset the clock. The adapter seemed to get very warm when plugged in. I gave up trying to use the usb port for charging my phone. Otherwise, it’s a decent clock with a small footprint. It’s nice that the volume of the alarm is adjustable as well.

Great clock! I have purchased many clocks over the years and I have to say that this one is probably the best of all. Here is why I say that: 1. Accurate. Nothing is more important than accuracy and many clocks are not. This one is very accurate. 2. Full range brightness dimmer. Awesome feature! Allows you to dial in the brightness with stepless adjustment form off to very bright. I don't think I've ever seen this before. 3. Attractive and nice size. 4. inexpensive!! Only $14! To those complaining that the clock is defective for not working on battery only, please read the product description before posting a negative review. It's not supposed to. The battery is for backup only. If the power goes out the clock will maintain the correct time when the power comes back on, or if you unplug it to move it and plug it back in again. i guess it would be nice if it ran on battery only but I don't mind at all. Batteries are an ongoing expense I can do without.

The full range brightness dimmer, (no display to very bright), is so desirable. Not a lot of clocks give that option. I only want it to be bright enough to see during the day, and not a bright beacon all night. The numbers are very big and easy to see. Changing the time is much easier than most clocks. For instance to turn the clock back in the fall, you don't have to go forward 11 hours, you can just go back 1 hour.

It's a great little clock.

Light dimmer is the key to purchase and it good quality.

I really wanted a small clock that was easy to use and had a completely dimmable switch. You don't have different settings for brightness like many other clocks. This one has a wheel that you can turn to either completely dim or make as bright as you want. This is super easy to either set the time or dim the clock. Would highly recommend it.

This is a nicely designed alarm clock which doesn't take up much space but is easily visible. Set-up is simple and the brightness and volume controls provide handy and effective adjustments. Time-keeping appears to be excellent.
