Really useful and robust
Well, it didn't look much when it arrived, but it's actually very good. I have a number of computer books which are 600+ pages long, and this holds them perfectly and is nice and sturdy. You can adjust the angle too, and the design does not damage the book. An excellent purchase.

Great, practical and versatile.
This item is absolutely great. Plastic build, feels somewhat robust but also a bit flimsy in parts. Holds an A3 ring binder folder no problem. Good support, balances well and never had anything fall off it, it's never collapsed on me, it's just there and works and I don't even need to think about it. Highest setting is quite low, not very upright more of a slant. Great overall product. Does the job well, easy to store, good all rounder. The little prongs that hold the book pages open are a bit weak so not very effective at start or end of a book. But still very useful and you can fold them away if you don't want to use them. I am really happy with this product! 6/10.

Flat, light, high, LAPTOP Stand
I've been using this nearly daily as a laptop stand for two years. This bests many 'proper' laptop stands in a number of ways: It raises the screen higher (taking less desk space), it packs flat, it's lighter, and it's cheaper (I paid £5). It looks flimsy but it's stable and rated for books up to 10kg, which is much more than even the heaviest laptop. I've proven its longevity and mine supports my laptop and a USB screen every day. You could even buy a few and leave one wherever you might need it.

Its Beauty is in its Functionality
Might not be a thing of beauty but it is a thing that is very useful. I bought it for use at home. I have bought other book holders but sadly they never held a really large book well and I have a lot of very large books but these days are too heavy for me to hold and I do not like reading with a book flat on lap or table and me bending over it. This has held every book I have put in it well and no overbalancing. The only slightly negative thing about it is the fact the parts that hold the book open do not slide so are not adjustable. The still hold the pages open on a book but the page is curved a bit so have to hold it with a finger so can read it easily but that is only at the start of a book, once more pages are read it is fine. Similar problem as you near the end but again it does still hold even the largest book open at your page and no slipping off the page. It is very light and folds up well so could easily be carried around in say a laptop bag along with laptop without either being harmed. So perfect if you want a book holder that holds lots of different sized books that cannot be kept in one place.

Bad choice for hardcover, good choice for softcover
Cheap and very lightweight product, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work for hardcover books (the system isn’t strong enough to stop the book from closing). Works well for soft-cover books though.

Compact, does the job, excellent aid
My colleagues have commented on what a neat piece of equipment this is and I agree, it folds away easily to slide down the side of my monitor and although lightweight, it has no trouble supporting a heavy lever-arch file or large number of individual sheets. It can be adjusted to a number of angles, as required. Since starting to use it, I no longer experience neck pain whilst working and am really impressed to have such an excellent aid for an affordable price. Highly recommend.

Handy book holder for storing on the shelf
Nice simple unit made of lightweight but seemingly tough plastic - a good companion to slip into a bag. If the plastic was even a fraction of a millimetre thinner then it would probably be too weak so it is right on the limit but generally works well. I think the best aspect is that it folds up really flat and so can be stored on the shelf sandwiched between some books taking up minimal room. Only two minor issues so far: it really is lightweight so with heavier books you do have to make sure they are sat in the middle to balance; the little fingers that pop up to hold the pages open don't have anything to stop them opening further than vertical so a particularly strong book can push them open.

Cheap but does the job well.
First Impressions: This is cheap. There is flex in it, and the plastic seems brittle so that if you pull and bend it a lot I imagine it could snap. However holding a book in a single position it should do well. It is cheap, so you can't expect metal parts. The angle it holds at is 45degree to 60 degree. It's not very upright, but then for a desk holder you do want some angle on it. I'm using it to hold physics books for studying, but I imagine it will hold single sheets and thinner books also. If this was used in an office environment I'm not sure it would last long but as a home user it will be fine for me. Folds flat for easy storage/transportation.

The stand is great as a desktop music book stand. I place on my coffee table to hold my music during guitar playing. Adjustable viewing angle. Folds flat for storage and travel.

First thing you notice about this is the thin plastic material used for fabrication. This will not ever take the weight of a heavy book or a lot of pages. I need this primarily for holding spiral notebooks and loose sheets so I can type data intensive projects in faster. And for that purpose it will hold. The clips in the front (to keep the book open) are also not very sturdy. Just by prying them open I can tell they will not take much pressure. The finish is also not up to the mark. There is a lot of misshapen artifacts and leftovers from the molding process. The back support and stand easily pop out with uneven pressure. But once you have set it to your liking there should not be any need to adjust it repeatedly. For the amount charged you'd think the manufacturers could have easily used a much stronger material with better finish. Expensive novelty item.

I read a lot and I was always annoying of having to hold the book open to a certain page. I also hated having to try to type something from a book while having to hold the book open to a certain page. Well, I finally decide to try this nice little invention, and let me tell you, it's definitely worth it! It's cheap, but the plastic works fine and does the job well. It stands up and holds the book to a certain page just as promised. The stand is adjustable. It's great, it makes my life so much easier, and I'm sure glad I bought it!
