The paper is great and the notebook is lighter then you would think with a good weight paper. It did arrive with the corners a bit dog-eared but my other half didn't mind and went straight to work on it. He's been using it every day and toting it about and I see no deterioration or loosening of the binding. You could probably use it as a diary/journal if you put two days on each page with some left over. Down side: no margin, but the marker ribbon is a lovely shade of red. I personally prefer the texture of moleskine and filofax flex ranges.
