Great learning game
Great wooden board with large easy to grip pieces. The board itself is about the size of a A3 piece of paper. Has button , zip and laces pieces to take on and of the board. All these are also a great size for little hands. Great for fine motor skills and hand eye coordination and also acts as a puzzle as you piece the parts together to dress bear

Another lovely Melissa & Doug toy
I love, love, love Melissa & Doug! This basic skills board is absolutely brilliant. It is beautifully made with a bright painted hardwearing surface and a good thick board. Each of the 6 'skills' pieces comes out so that the whole thing is like a puzzle. There is a large button and buttonhole - very durable stitching on the button and excellent quality thick cord fabric, there is a popper, laces, zip, belt buckle and a plastic clasp/buckle like a car seat buckle. It's a lovely toy and all my boys love it, from age 1 to 5 1/2. We have quite a few Melissa & Doug toys and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Making Skill Learning Fun
The Melissa and Doug Basic Skills Board arrived quickly. The board is a little bigger than a standard peg puzzle board. The pieces of the board are chunky so when your child is trying to tie a lace, learn to zip or buckle, they can get a good grasp on the blocks whilst trying to master the different skills. As the different pieces come out, more than one child can play with the skills board at once which is great when you have children close in age or twins. This board will be used for a long time as I have 3 children 3 and under who it will help. The colours are lovely and bright and the children love the teddy design. Its a great alternative to the teddy skill builders.

Lovely quality
Really nice quality and well made - this will last for a while. Because it is well made, I don't feel like I have to worry about buttons or laces coming off. They seem very secure. My 15 month old is not so interested in the buckles, buttons, etc just yet. But you can also use this like a jigsaw puzzle, so it's dual use. I like the little detail of the bear being in his underwear when you remove the pieces, I think older toddlers would find this quite funny. Another lovely toy from this brand.

Brilliant toy. Thoroughly recommend.
It is another brilliant toy I have ordered from Melissa & Doug. It arrived after two days of ordering. Really well made. Fun and totally educational. My two year old grandson absolutely loves playing with it. He hasnt grasped the laces and the buckle yet but he has fun trying. Really good for their coordination. Definitely be ordering more of these as I have twin grandsons due in two months.

Nice idea - just not executed as well as it could have been
We've had this for a year and half now - got it for my son's second birthday and he is now three and a half, so we've had the chance to see if he grows into it. I bought it because I liked the Melissa and Doug latches board, but this hasn't been as good as that. It's a good quality toy and has been played with although not extensively. The different items are of quite different difficulty levels. The zip in particular is quite tough to get started and quite short and the material the button on is quite thick. The fact that the pieces that the items come on are removable I think also makes some of them harder. It's a bit annoying how the pieces come out and get temporarily lost (as well as the shoelace style string which you need to keep track of with small children around). Obviously it's not a problem per se that they are hard - but I think that difficult level doesn't coincide with the age where children start to become interested in such things and it just a bit too frustrating. Overall, in retrospect, I wouldn't have chosen to buy it, although I would say buy the latches board again.

Lovely resource for my childminding setting
This item arrived well-packaged and very quickly. It is a terrific resource for the older children in my childminding setting, with whom I am working on doing up their coats and shoes and general independence. The children love getting the teddy dressed to go out and then themselves. The board itself is high quality and should last for years. Lovely!

Un pò complicato per nostro figlio di neanche 3 anni, però è una tavola fatta benissimo e molto educativa. Quando sarà più grande ed avrà più forza nelle mani, penso che ce la faccia a fare tutto. Giocattolo solido e robusto!

. Seven years ago as a first-time-Mom I was overwhelmed by the choices I had when it came to the Play world. With time, walking the trail of trial and errors, I pinned my favorites: Melissa & Doug, Battat, Hape, Magformers, Tegu, Bruder, Alex Toys, Playmobil, Lego, Elenco and a few more. For the board games, those are ThinkFun, Peaceable Kingdom, Smart Games and some classics. The thoughtfully designed and well-made toys and games are not cheap, but they worth the invested money and the benefits are immense. That's the case when we can say: "less is more", for few quality toys will flourish child's development and will have a huge impact on kid's intellectual growth, while the poorly made trinkets will end up in the garbage bin before your kid had outgrown them. During the last years, I bought quite a lot of "Melissa & Doug" - toys, games, playsets, puzzles and costumes and despite having kids that have that common to boys "anything can destroy" gift, "Melissa & Doug" toys still make it through. Pretend play is a very important part of the child's development that brings out creativity, imagination, dexterity, helps to develop motor and social skills. "Melissa & Doug" toys are great educational tools that help kids to develop different skills and raise their intelligence.

Prodotto ben fatto, come da descrizione. Utile per far allenare j bambini a lavorare sulla motricità. Unica scomodità è che la tavola deve stare per forza in orizzontale: in verticale nella borsa i pezzetti cadono.
