Only had this item for a few days but have used it twice. I did fried egg, with no splattering and it turned out great. I have made omelettes and they were so nice and fluffy , excellent. I use a few sprays of oil, make sure you leave the omelettes long enough so they are light and fluffy. Fried eggs take about 2 minuets.Will try other things, it is so easy and no faffing about.Cleans in seconds. This will not be left in a cupboard it will be well used.Quick and easy and bought when there was a discount. Win win love it !

We only ordered this because it had great reviews and was just £8.99 (I was actually looking for a good omelette pan at the time). When it arrived I wondered if we would ever use it (and even considered sending it back). Out of curiosity we tried it ..... and loved it! It's so so easy to use, makes lovely omelettes and is extremely easy to clean. We use 4 eggs and it fills both sides (we could probably get away with using 5). It's easy to make another omelette straight afterwards. It's a fabulous little product. So much so we're just about to order another for another member of our family

Fantastic little machine. It does what it says on the tin and literally makes a great omelette. It's easy to use, easy to clean and stores away nicely without taking up too much space.Arrived nice and quickly with great packaging.Only downside is the omelettes you can make are not very big and to make 4 (the amount it took for me to feel slightly satisfied) you have to allow around 15 minutes prep and cooking... by the time you have cooked all 4 the first 2 are cold.If your happy to wait or just make do with the 2 it's a great little machine.

I had never thought about an omelette maker until the day my partner asked me to make her an omelette for breakfast recently. I made her the omelette but thought omg I could have cooked a full English breakfast in the time it took to make two omelettes. I looked on amazon for an omelette maker and hey presto ordered the vonshef but was dubious about what results I would get from it despite reading great reviews. My partner was more dubious than I, believing the omelettes would be as flat as pancakes lol. Two days later I received the goods and the following morning I set to putting the machine to use and to my pleasant surprise within 9 minutes I had two perfectly cooked omelettes I was and still am very, very impressed. My partner was very pleased with the results and commented that the omelette was now a food that takes just as long to eat as it takes to make! A fantastic product at a fantastic price eggsactly what I wanted!!!

Good quality item. I have just received this today and tested it out. If you follow the instructions for use it really does make a perfect omelette. As I'm visually impaired I usually find it difficult to make omelettes as transferring hot pans from the top of an oven to the grill to brown omelette off is difficult and I can't see when it is ready. With this once I poured the mixture in I just let it cook for 8 minutes and when opened up had a perfect omelette. Prior to cooking I just used 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil to brush the inside of the omelette maker to brown it off. This helped make removal of the omelette easy with a wooden spatula and without sticking. Please note you have to run the maker for about a minute to get it up to temperature with lid down and the red light will switch off when ready. During cooking the red light comes on and off as the thermostat clicks in to maintain cooking temp.

Have no problem with this item. It is easy to use and makes a great three egg omelette in 5 minutes with no hassle. Also did a few 5 minute chocolate cakes which were quick and simple. Had no sticking and the non-removable plates are easy to clean with soap, warm water and soft sponge. The upper plates did stain after first use which I see upset a number of reviewers but this has made no difference to the items functionality and it is a functional kitchen item so am not expecting it to look unused after use.

Started off as a great product. Nice and fluffy omelettes.However, the non-stick began to wear off after a month or two of usage. Very difficult to remove the omelette and it burns after sticking to the metal.It’s a shame

I bought this a while ago on lighning deal, used it once for an omelette which looked more like scrambled egg then straight to back of cupboard en-route to charity shop. I read recently should eat more eggs so have decided to have one at least every other day for breakfast. Fortunately remembered this and decided to have a go. I'm now quietly impressed as poached/fried eggs are so easy to do, no messing about with various pans. I rub a little butter on the base and just put the egg in, lifting lid to see how it's going. Will venture onto other ways - I'm no cook - but very pleased so far.*** I have to agree the non-stick doesn't last long but it's no great deal. I just collect the residue with the spatula whilst it's still warm and it comes off easily, quick wipe and it's clean.
